Just did Nightfall Solo 12/9: Tipps and Tricks

There is no cheesing, and from my experience will never be. Bungie did a great Job to cater to us Soloplayers wth this one. The feeling when Omnigul goes down alone is worth the purchase of the whole DLC. As you see from my scoreboard I died 3 times: it can be totally avoided, though. I had an almost successful attempt with no death in the early morning, but JackRabbit kicked me out. It helps to be a sunsinger ;-) This nightfall is imo one where you do not have many options when it comes to Layout. Your main weapons will be 1.an 300+ ArcSniper (i got the Queens one and it handled herself very well) 2.a 300 Legendary or 280+ Exotic Arc Machine gun Thunderlord is well worth your exotic place he does 2K Critdamage on Minions and can bodyshot almost all unshielded enemies (which are not much of) 300 from the 400 kills were its doing, the gun basically soloed the Nightfall on itself ;-) 3.only for the unnerving Shanks alone you will have to bring a 300 VoC The motto of this Solo will be: "slow wins" You never want to sprint, besides saving yourself from a bunch of thralls to get to higher ground. You never want to stay longer in ADS than 1 second As nice as the new Arc/Solar switch Fusion is, you cant use it in this Nightfall Bring 20+ Heavy Ammopacks and 20+Secondary You will almost never be able to catch any ammo unless you are suicidal Take a break before entering the Jovian Complex, the worst is still to come. Happy Guarding!

 • Did you stay outside the final room? My fireteam did, and although it kinda felt like cheesing, it seemed to be the only option. I'm beginning to hate any nightfall strikes which are so hard that they force you to not even enter the main final "arena", or find a blind spot to cheese from. It just takes away the enjoyment of it all. Summoning Pits is my favourite strike due to the area layout - on easier levels it allows freedom of movement, cover, utilising team strategy etc. Now its just so hard that you can't even enter the room and is a chore to complete (like most Nightfalls). Im not saying they need to make them easier, it should be the hardest strike you will encounter that week by far - but at least give the players some leeway to play it correctly.
