Me and my fireteam had planned this for a long time, strike Atheon once and for all, we got our inspiration from Karb the legionless and his fireteam who were brave enough to challenge him, but perish trying. As we get to Venus, on the Waking Ruins we see the giant door which keeps the darkest and deadliest vex out of our world and I’m grateful for that, but is time to strike, it’s time to open that door and adventure ourselves against what the vex had prepared to us. We stand in teams of two on each of the sync plates, we face a tremendous attack from the Vex, attacking with everything they have, they are determined to avoid us from open the door, but is useless, we kill each one of them, one by one they fall to our fire, one by one are killed in the name of the Tower, one by one face our wrath. The spire finally forms and we are able to enter, we start moving, passing on several platforms all over a black abyss of nothingness, jumping between them, calculating each jump, one wrong move and we’ll fall on the dark abyss an perish. We reach the realms of the Templar, as we get to its platform a conflux appears and the Templar challenge us to fight it, suddenly Vex start appearing and going towards the conflux, we start killing them while the Templar is also shooting at us, then two appear and the one on the middle disappear, we continue defending them, now a third one appears, we take everything that moves down and there is peace for a brief second until we hear a song, a song of death, suddenly green orbs start appearing all over the place, cycling between them, first 2 we shoot them down, now there’s 3 we do the same, the same process goes on and on until finally they stop appearing and a shield spawns in the middle of the room, I grab it and feel its power, the Templar teleports in the middle of the room and summons its legions with its oracles, we take down the oracles and the legions, then I shoot the Templar with the power and the light of the shield, demolishing its shield and making him vulnerable, we strike him hard and fast, as he tries to teleport we avoid it’s path and destroy him, as he dies all of his legions fall as well, the door on the back of the room opens and we enter the next step in our mission. We end on the Gorgons maze, we heard the advice of the quartermasters of the vanguard, once reached by the gaze of a gorgon your existence will be erased of time, unless you strike immediately with overwhelming fire, the maze is a dark place, the noise of the gorgons the only thing they have to hear, we bypass the fast and quiet, we finally made it to the platforms which lead to the Vault of Glass. As we enter the Vault of Glass, we can see what the vex call the gate keeper, a machine designed for the propose to wipe out of existence all of the ones who enter the realms of Atheon, a much smaller version of the Templar, we also see Vex from the past and the future guarding the gate keeper, we strike all of them down and kill the gate keeper, now we have to open the vex time gates, to kill the past and future gate keeper, once we have both of the shields out a conflux appears in the middle of the room and Vex start running towards it coming from the past and the future and the Vault itself, we defend it, but we weren’t ready for the next step. Atheon appears and starts firing at us, we run to take cover, as we are shooting at him, but our bullets don’t seem to do much damage, then he calls for its supplicants and that’s where thing start to go down. As I see my friend get killed by one of the supplicants of Atheon, I scream in pain and fury, as I turn around to encourage the rest of my fire team I see the cruel and devastating situation they are facing, one of them is running to draw Atheon’s fire to her so the rest of the fire team can be “safe”, two guardians are getting shot by supplicants and the other two are trying so hard to kill them. She is hit by Atheon, blasting her into the back wall of his dismal room. My ghost saddened can only say: “Guardian Down” I ignore his hard words and try to help the other guardians, but as soon as I try, a Praetorian appears blocking me the way and ready to engage in fight, I quickly aim and shot him whit my sniper piercing him, as he falls now dead, I can only see a supplicant getting behind the Guardians who were helping the team taking cover, I cry hopeless: “Behind you!” But it was already late, they got killed and the Guardians which were taking cover saw it all, they, enraged, charged to annihilate all of the supplicants, but in their blind rage they did not notice that Atheon had its sight on them, I shoot him whit everything I had, desperately shouting: “Get back to cover!”, but Atheon was determined and they didn’t hear anything but the enchanting sound of revenge, they got killed, the last thing they saw, the purple wrath of the Time lord. I stood there, as my ghost said: “Guardians down”, I felt his words where full of sadness and fear, and so was I, but then an unfamiliar voice talked to me: “Guardian, don’t let him defeat you as he defeated me, don’t let him wipe you out of existence as he did with me, take my gift and take it right and strike to its heart, so he won’t be the one Time Lord” As I stood there wondering where that came from, a shield appeared before me, it was irradiating light and strength and it was the way to end this fight, that had taken my brothers, and as the things where, my life as well.
