I have ran into two of these guys, and let me tell you, they are annoying as hell. The guy tried to tell me destiny 2 is going to be dlc for destiny, and that the game will end in 2 yrs. Also tried to tell me that he has "close friends with bungie". He also said he was a "big fan of destiny, and probably the best person in the game", 17 hundred grimiore score and lvl 27.also said he got 10 super chest in a row.... i'm calling bullshit.
Another one i met said that red faction had one of the greatest game engines of all time.
Also said alot of other bullshit i won't get into (the xbone apparently can withstand everything????) .
When i say smug, there's also alot that comes with it:
Liars
Pretenders
Make up things to sound smart
If you say something the most obvious ooutcome from them is "yeah, but ____"
English
#Destiny

I would just like to say that people as a whole are assholes, people on the Internet are pricks, people individually have the capacity for basic humanity...

Edited by Space Magic: 11/29/2014 1:24:00 AM18 year olds are worse. They're just at the point of their life where they think very highly of themselves, and automatically beleve anything they hear and think it's fact. They're trying too hard to act like they're already an adault, even though their minds are still making the transition. Also it makes them feel like they have more athority than they actually posess. (I'm 18 BTW, I just know my place.)

Edited by Sleeswaifus: 11/29/2014 2:16:21 AMIf a 18y/o is a kid playing a teen rated game, what does that make you? A 30 year adult playing a childs game?
-
Trick question...18 yr old is a kid.
-
im only a freshman in highschool but everyone assumes im an adult because of how deep my voice is and no I did not fail a grade
-
18 year olds are kids...
-
where is the 3rd option:neither? i have met annoying ass kids, teens and adult. none of them were worser in the annoying category
-
I'm 16 but I'm dead silent in the raid unless: A) somebody starts talking shit on somebody else B) constant complaining when it's clearly their fault C) people begin to yell saying it's so easy that we shouldn't have to wipe D) people push people off and make us wipe. But honestly anybody of any age is capable of being immature, and it saddens me that Bungie always attracts those crowds.

Edited by EatMyKishes: 11/29/2014 1:47:50 AMThe first time joining team chat, I was greeted by the sounds of three 13-14yr olds bullying a 10-12yr old. Bullying is not acceptable under any circumstance. Most blood boiling experience playing Destiny, even more than telling people to pick up the relic or not throw grenades

Kids make it mad awkward though.

I am 11 you fdjkhfouheoiwhgouhbsuorbghbpohorhrivfhivfohvfofvhvpifhpibghiphfifhufbdfuibvouehbuoahrqejobuohbf (out of breath) so if I played a total of 30 days (I have no life by the way) the adult played 5. THE ADULT IS SO MUCH BETTER!!!! GO TO HELL #SMU 11 YEAR OLD

Hate joining a raid team with children i leave right away!!
-
18yrs olds are teenagers. What would you expect?...
-
"Squeak squad, kill confirm, no scope, MLG, try hard!" Is this call of duty?
-
Most american kids i encounter are pretty annoying, but yesterday i played with this kid who sounded like he was from u.k. and he held up his own on hard raid and was also respectful.
-
nah emo/anime lovers are the worst
-
Squeakers!
-
May be slightly biased here since I'm 18, but kids are way the -blam!- worse

Edited by BigMurii: 11/29/2014 1:03:14 AMI'm 17 and I know that they both suck, I talk crap but in a joking, funny, ha ha, way not the way others do. When they do they want to break you down and make you feel like trash, I just joke around to get a laugh from everyone, just to have fun and make the game a nice time for everyone.
-
18yr old's are still kids, only difference is they think they're not and think they know more than adults with actual experience.
-
Yea thats complete bs about the grimoire. It maxes out at 26 hundred an something. I forget the exact number, but you can look at it on the companion app. Lol 17k...

Smug and naive sums up this generations kids

I woke my friend up last night asking him if he wanted to play a little. He said sure and we were just about to do the daily when someone on my friends list asked us for help with the raid. I convinced my friend to drop the daily heroic and got on his warlock so he could get some raid gear. There was one kid in the party (must have been 15 or 16) who tried to convince us he was the best player ever. He said that he was going to solo one of the plates in the start. It took us 30 -blam!-ing minutes to open that gate because he kept dying. Then when we were defending the confluxs he asked us "do you know what the rares exotic is?" and after some of the other people guessed he answered "No. Its an arc icebreaker." I called bs because there was no such thing (if it hasn't been datamined, then it can't exist, right?) and he replied saying that "its so rare that no one has it, except me.." I pushed him to show us it and he refused. Then later on he started bragging that he had the mythoclast and that if he was on his 30 he would solo the whole raid. I looked up his character, and he only had one character. A level 25 titan he was playing as. He said he had the mythoclast on him, but he refused to use any exotics. When we finally got to the oracles he started to tell us that the flawless raider achievement is impossible to do. At this time I really started to drown out his annoying chatter so I forget everything else he said until we got to the gorgons. He said he could do it blindfolded, and right off the bat he ran face to face with a gorgon. After 10 goes of him running right into the gorgons and double jumping in front of them, my friend rage quit. I shortly left to, and I watched as the 3 that were left tried to struggle through the rest of the raid. After checking on them for 2 hours I got off. I -blam!-ing hate people like that.
(the xbone apparently can withstand everything????) .
not really sure where that comment is coming from. But kotaku featured an article talking about drop tests with the ps4 and xbox one. The xbox withstood a 15 foot drop, the play station did not. So that's what comes to mind when you say that. It doesn't matter how old you are, an idiot is an idiot.

The only people who think 18 year olds aren't kids are 18 year olds.
