On Xbox One, leaving Destiny on when finishing a session (not forcing it's shutdown), and leaving the Xbox on or in standby, causes your Destiny connection to be maintained, even after you are done playing.
Eventually, the connection times out for inactivity.
When picking the game back up, players are greeted with a popup that states we have been logged out of destiny due to inactivity, and are being returned to the title screen.
Prior to last week's (November 17) patch, I would be returned to the title screen, just as the popup indicates.
Since the November 17th patch, though, this message repeatedly beings me to a black loading screen with the loading animation in the lower right corner. The title screen does not load, even after several minutes.
Workaround: Returning to the home screen, pressing the menu button, and shutting down Destiny with the "Quit" command, will cause the game to work correctly upon re-entering the game.

The bad audio or mute on returning from sleep has been a thing on most digital X1 games I've played since about May. Going to the dashboard and back to the game always resets it.

They know about the bug. Hey bungie, head over to the commons, there are an arse load of xbox people there at lunch time, they can help you fix this and you might even get some free food!!!! If a couple of miles is too far to go, just call the xbox team invite them over to your place for a catered lunch those xbox guys love free food.

Makes an awful noise too. Destiny always runs funky after you bring it out of sleep mode.
