I pretty much use my scout rifle for everything. Bought the A1****** whatever it's called for marks, love the explosions with headshots. Managed to get the Multitool and Vision of Confluence in my first VOG, have yet to level them up.

I would do a hand cannon, but I only have a rare one, so for now I'm using my legendary pulse rifle that shreds

If you can get your hands on the right Hand Cannon, you can absolutely shred your foes. I'd say The Last Word or Fatebringer can convert just about anyone to a Hand Cannon enthusiast. I always liked HC but I didn't use TLW as much simply because I lost a exotic slot on my primary when I had the likes of Icebreaker, Gjallahorn, Pocket Infinity and Thunderlord ready to rock and roll. Once I got the Fatebringer though, I was all in! Hand Cannon power with perks that explode enemies with precision kills and AoE damage for each round fired. The combination of these two perks makes groups of enemies a synch and drops larger enemies in a hurry. Also, there is a perk which increases reload speed with precision kills which makes the typically slow reloading of HC a non-factor. I've seen the Fatebringer convert avid AR/SR/PR users almost immediately. Did I mention that FB also does Arc damage?! Check Please!

I love ARs but since Mida multi-tool dropped for me I'm trying to get into it.

Depends, really, on your gun and its individual abilities. Raid weapons, such as Atheon's Epilogue or Vision of Confluence work best in my opinion- but also stuff from factions (Vanguard level 3 offers shadow price and devil you know, two great weapons right there) work pretty well. For pre-endgame, simply use the weapon with the best damage output- with a slight preference towards AR's (especially Shingen ones) and Scout Rifles. If you find a hand cannon with good stats it will also work well, I have found that most hand cannons are either amazing or under-delivering.

The answer is always Hawkmoon.
-
Hawkmoon. Nuff said.
-
I chose doesn't matter. I mainly use Hand Cannons, but I've been making it a point to get good with all guns in PVE
-
The only weapon class I don't use in PvE are Pulse Rifles.
-
Scout rifle/ fusion or auto/ sniper
-
Fatebringer... Best hand cannon period!
-
Character slot 1: auto rifle + shotgun Character slot 2: pulse rifle + fusion rifle Character slot 3: scout rifle + sniper rifle ----- I feel this best allows me to experience the game from different perspectives.
-
The Proxima Centurai III, Vision of Confluence and Mida Multi Tool Scout Rifles have served me exceptionally well. Currently I'm working towards the Aries Nemesis X4, it looks great!
-
Croat sword.. Or any of my hunters knife abilities.
-
Hand cannon. Instant headshots everywhere.
-
I switch between VoC and Fatebringer depending on the shield elements. I don't even want to touch Atheon's Epilogue, what a horrible gun I think that is. The Fatebringer is so satisfying and actually forces me to take precision hits when I use it. I neeeeed this satisfaction!

For me it would be between scout rifles or hand cannons. Both do high damage and take an enemy down quicker. I like getting as many head shots as I can and scout rifles/hand cannons let me get the kills faster. I used the VOC for a long time but switched to the fatebringer after I maxed it out.
