Iron Banner: Pathetic. Typical.
How to get to level 30:
1. Get lucky in the Raid
2. Grind the Iron Banner before tomorrow and have a Raid helm/chest and an Exotic chest/helm
The only Raid armor I have is the helmet. I have Armamentium (however it is spelled) and I just need those -blam!-ing boots and gauntlets. I'm more than halfway between Iron Banner Rank 2 and 3 and I can't -blam!-ing take it!It's SOOOOOOOOO Boring and miserable and I shouldn't have to do it to get to level 30. This is pathetic of you, Bungie. You either get lucky in the Raid or go through a form of torture that Guantonamo Bay can adopt.

4 RepliesWhat's with the complaints there's now two ways to get lvl 30 gear. Neither way is difficult and both are enjoyable. The only way some one could complain is if they didn't have a dedicated team of friends. My hunter is maxed in the iron banner and my warlock is 3 3/4 (in one day) there's no excuse why some one couldn't just grind it out in two days. Stop complaining and enjoy the game with your friends.

Got to rank 5 iron banner in 3 days, from rank 1.25. Also, I have raided every week for as long as it's been open, and only need the boots from the raid. I literally have every single item from the raid EXCEPT the boots for the titan (why I have 2 titans) it's absolutely infuriating that week in and week out the boots WILL NOT DROP for me. I was ecstatic to hear the iron banner was going to have boots and gloves. I cranked it out and got every item from iron banner as well. Now I can breath easy, my titan is now 30. Just work for it bro, you can, and so can everyone else.

How aren't you at 3 already? With bounties and the buff each day it's so easy I made it to 3 on my hunter last IB so was able to buy the boots right off the bat, then was able to get my lock to 4 by Friday. Getting to rank 3 is like 3 days if bounties plus some wins tops

Then I'm going to tell you i have all three level thirtys and I've re made a character ten times in one week before to keep running the raid. And yes i have a part time job and a life. Takes four hours level 1-20 it's a mmo rpg. Rng doesnt have to love you. Just grind and work for it or keep bching and try getting lucky. But dont bch to everyone on the forums about how you aren't lucky either grind for lvl 30 or play a different game

2 RepliesBoring you say. I've gone from hating PvP in this game to absolutely loving it. I am now rank 5 on my Titan & Magician - couldn't be bothered with the hunter as I think the hunters melee is gay. It has improved the way I play & has made me look at PvP in a totally new way - the goodies were nice as well. It's the last night of Iron Banner tonight & although my titan has every thing I could possibly want from the event, I am going to kill as many as I can tonight as it is so much fun. Bungie you rock.

Well. The grind is certainly hard but 30 shouldn't be easy. I wish raid gave out tokens and had a similar gear system as IB it would just feel more earned as opposed to being lottery.

I apologize if you are one of the poor saps that has 3 of one class and still nothing. I know i completed the raid on hard at least 12 times between 3 titans to get 30, but I was luckier than most. I will say that I have been raiding in MMOs for many years now, and raid grinding in destiny was the most fun I have had in any game for awhile. This loot system really isn't any different than any other I have played. Believe it or not Destiny yields gear quicker than any MMO I have raided in bar none. But I can see how someone who is new to "raiding" could really be discouraged when the RNG gods gank you week after week.

Either way you look at it you have to grind. In the raid, you have to do it many many times in order to get the gear you need. It's all random too so it's not even positive that you will get it for sure. At least in the iron banner you can for sure get the boots or arms that you need, Yeahh it's not much armor just two but it'll help you out. I hate PVP too like I really do, but I got my Titan to 30, now I gottah do it for my warlock & hunter. I'm doing it for my characters lol. Just like everyone says, you gottah do what you gottah do. It's that Struggle.
