Yes, the game has shortfalls. Yes. It can become a bit repetitive with the same strikes. Yes, it can be frustrating because I suck in crucible. I don't like that is does not have a coherent story. That being said, the game is just entertaining. I can't point out anything specific which keeps me playing. It's just the whole package. Bungie did such a good job with what is here. That I would consider it a great foundation on which a masterpiece could be built.
