Hi my name is dominick but you can call me mango or derp i am an 18 year old gamer that suffers from tourettes. i know what your gonna say is how can you suffer from tourettes well here is how i have a muscle spasm or twitch in my neck, legs, arms, wrists, toes, fingers, eye lids, shoulders etc. but what you don know is how i am affected by this. i have a hard time playing due to this twitch. if im hot i will start twiching badly,if im too cold i will twitch badly, if i see someone move their neck i will start twitching the list goes on. i actually dropped out of school because people made fun of me to the point to where i have a hard time trusting people... if i do trust you you are a lucky lucky person because when i was made fun of they would try to say sorry be my friend and then stab me in the back. i started playing xbox 3-4 years ago meeting new people some of them being cool and some of them i had as a friend for a long time. but i started playing xbox for one reason that no one would know who i am and what condition i have so i dont get picked on virtually i enjoy some of the people on xbox others are just complete ass wholes and you probably know who you are. i have had a wonderful experience on live meeting new people and having fun call of duty was my main game but then i started playing forza 3/4 and started drifting was i a good drifter yes and no i was a monster at drifting when the temperature in my room was right which it wasn't to my liking all the time. but when i have my twitch session i tend to get mad easily i dont really know why. i also played halo 2-4 but stopped at a low rank because i wanted to try something new. i started playing battlefield bad company 2/BF3/BF4 and met my first team on bf3 i enjoyed it alot played countless hours of bf3. then bf4 came out then i was excited but soon stopped playing with my team around the time gta5 came out i started to play it alot clocking 10 days in the first 3-4 weeks the online was released. i know im a no life but you dont have to call me that as i get enough from my mom sister and brother. soon after that i started playing world of tanks meeting someone who will change my life forever a really good friend who has made my friendship pretty cool i will trust him with my life any time and any where.... ok i bet your wondering how i got tourettes well i dont excatly but the thing i do think how i got it was when i was playing in my middle school gym i went in the air after a football and so did one of the other kids well lets say i went down on my tail bone almost breaking it and hit my head to the point where i had lost the feeling in my legs for about 3 minutes. i didnt remember the incident at all until they showed me video from the gym office. after that i started to twitch and now i realize it wont go away. i take a medicine called Risperidone it kinda helps with my twitching but i still have the attacks when i get hot or cold or when i hear someone say the word twitch.i just want people to know that there are gamers out here who became a gamer not by the thought or hey i want to game for a living but forced to try something that will change their life and make it fun i dont live a normal life i should have a car be in college becoming something but i cant drive because of my twitching and i cant stay still in class making it difficult for others to learn. i get looked at weird in public and it really hurts me that some one or anyone has not seen a human before like really you haven't seen a male human. i want people to know that people arent on xbox for fun but for a life a new beginning or the start of a new life/beginning. my tourettes is hard to deal with because it hurts mainly my neck because it is stiff as hell all the time. well that kinda sums up how i start my journey on the xbox 360 for a new life and hope to meet new and cool people.

Emperor Ming has been on. China wants their wall back.
-
So all I'm hearing is that you've got mad twitch reflexes
-
Hey man, It's all good. Teenagers are dicks. Thats just the way it is. As you get older you will meet people that won't care about your tourette's and will like you for the person you are. I know you've probably heard this before, but we were all 18 once. You have it harder than we did but I'm sure many of us on this board have been made fun of, ridiculed and mocked when they were going through school. It gets better and people grow up. The ones that don't aren't worth it anyway. Keep on doing you and don't worry what other people think. I hope you find many new friends on the 360 and if you ever get an xbone hit me up. Good luck!
-
way too early to read all that
-
I get you have a condition but man just hit the return key at least once!
-
I'm glad you were able to find somebody you can trust. I hope live continues to be a good place for you.
-
good luck to you.

You ever get an xbox one, look me up. My raid group and I will get you through the raid and help you out, if you ever need help with the grind that is destiny, I'm happy to help out. Keep on fighting. Great story. Always remember, just because something hinders you a bit, fight through it and always strive for greatness. Gt is same as above.

I can't relate to how you feel, but jeez I can respect it. It takes a lot of courage, strength, and passion to game with your condition. Much respect to you, and if you come across Elite Amaterasu, drop a hello and say you are from the forums. :)
-
Feel for you buddy. Fiancee is wheelchair bound and we get stared at quite a lot in public, or when she stammers etc. You ever get Xbox one look me up - lostcrazyfool.

Look past the haters (:

Chin up, kid and keep going. Like others, if you make the transition to XB1, I'd be happy to game with you.

Xxxbigredxxx if you ever get a one. Be happy to play with you.

Normally I'm a troll, I'm constantly prowling and baiting others on this forum for my personal lolz but there are times when I need to put down my mantle to get serious and to genuinely reach out. If you really do suffer from the symptoms that you mentioned and have had an exceptionally tough time because of it from others then I express not pity, no, but respect. I don't personally know you and don't personally have any experience with the type of treatment that you've endured but nonetheless I still respect how you've managed and continue to cope. Stay strong man and keep your head up! *cough errhem straightens out shirt* Okay now time to get back to my usual trolling :)

I've got Tourettes too (: mainly in my thumbs these days. Which is horrible for those intense moments when I'm trying to play an have to momentarily remove my fingers from the analog sticks :O but I manage

Edited by Weasle: 11/23/2014 9:48:19 AMShame your tourettes does not make you hit the enter key to make a paragraph. What? It had to be said. Sorry about your condition man. At least you have fun doing what you love. Try acupuncture for the neck.

Edited by RandyRanderson4: 11/23/2014 9:53:21 AMYour family clearly don't know of the struggle in online gaming.
Its real
Regardless, more power to you. In my experiences, people only tell you to get a life because they're jealous. Or something like that. Edit: Grammar negligence
