I think it's funny that you all claim you 'earned' your guns
When comparing random drops to Xur, you are getting lucky on random drops, On the other hand you are EARNING your strange coins as a known reward (edit: from the weekly and saving your hard earned coins ;)).. Scrubs

You beat the nightfall and get a random reward, you earned that reward by completing the Nightfall. That random reward happened to be The Last Word, awesome! You beat the Weekly Heroic and earn your 9 coins plus the 18 you have saved up from previous Weekly Heroics, Xur shows up and has The Last Word, a weapon you've been wanting forever! So you quickly hand over your 23 strange coins thus converting them into The Last Word and since you earned those coins, by proxy you earned The Last Word. Awesome! All is well and good in the world! Edit: I just can't believe that as a society we've degraded ourselves to the point of arguing about whether or not someone earned a virtual gun in a video game. It's quite depressing really.

People that bitch about other people buying their stuff instead of earning it are the hipsters of Destiny. I had it before it was cool. Who gives a shit. I got mine from a random crucible reward. Spending strange coins on stuff is earning too by the way. Those don't just fall from the sky.

Well say i didn't buy it and had more hours than you more strikes more raids more everything. I'd be more deserving than you? Because RNG is luck. The only effort is the activity.
