Crucible Patrols
These would function like normal patrols, except the random people that show up in your game are hostile. In addition, patrols you pick up could involve those hostile players (i.e. kill x number of players, get x drops from warlocks, kill the top-ranked player on the server, etc.). These patrols would give crucible reputation, and any public events would reward crucible marks. In addition, the engrams that drop in Crucible Patrols could be crucible flavored items.
Crucible Events
The other side of the coin, Crucible Events, would be just like public events on patrols, but they would show up in crucible matches. You are trying to capture a point in control when suddenly the hive extraction crews show up to try and capture that point as well. While playing a standard clash match, suddenly a Devil Walker drops in to wreak havoc upon both teams. While playing rumble, a warsat crashes down to provide an impromptu king-of-the hill for its duration. You get the idea.
In general, I think splashing some PvP into more different parts of the game would add a lot of re-playability to content that is otherwise growing stale for many people. What are your thoughts?

I was thinking that it wouldn't overwrite existing servers, but would be additional new servers for players that wanted it. And yes, it would be a ton of work.
