I have played a lot of destiny and played each type of primary and secondary extensively. I have to say that Destiny PvP is actually somewhat balanced. When I started my thought were the opposite. I went through every stage of grief while playing Destiny PvP. DENIAL: At first I was in denial that I could be this bad and that the enemies must be over leveled and overpowered with stupid guns. Turns out I sucked and had sucky gear. ANGER: As I kept getting killed by this and that gun I got angry that a game could be so unbalanced and that I had no legendary gear at the time. BARGAINING: After getting another shity rare weapon from an engram, I was thinking "com on game give me something!" DEPRESSION: I finally get a legendary shotgun (the Comedian) and I'm still getting owned. ACCEPTANCE: I suck at this game. I need to get better. I'm still not that good at this game, but I don't go negative as much and stay in the middle of the score board or higher. I joined Dark Orbit and am rank 3 now. I have to say that there are A LOT of good weapons in this game and for someone who doesn't have them it can seem like everyone has overpowered weapons. I have to say though that weapons like the Invective shotgun and some Assault rifles seem cheap and unbalanced when compared to the whole. For example, the invective's full auto function can seem stupid, when almost all shotguns play the same except this and a few others. If you understand how to use each weapon type and their strengths and weaknesses, you can destroy the competition with anything from snipers to hand cannons. My main problem is that the niche of some weapons is threatened by others. For example, scout rifles almost have no place, because ARs are just as accurate (or enough) that using a scout rifle is a disadvantage. ARs also compete with machine guns. You know, the big scary chain guns that should wreck anyone? Well guess what? A good number of ARs do a better job at spraying death than a freaking chain gun. Hand cannons are actually my favorite weapon and thank goodness they are better since the patch. On a last side note. THIS GAME HAS TOO MANY SIMULTANEOUS KILLS. I shoot a guy with a shot gun and I get punched to death? I punch somone and they punch me back in death? WTF bungie? GLHF everyone.
