Patience and Time from someone who has had it for a bit.

I want to preface this by saying I'm not an "earner". I don't care that Xur is selling PnT. It was the first exotic I got and it happened after a round of the Cryptarch turning my blues into greens. I had leveled him up and was cursing his mother on my way to the postmaster when PnT popped up from the Cryptarch package! Anyways, if you're considering buying it, here's my thoughts: Icebreaker is probably the better overall gun. However, PnT does shine in a few areas. The stability, first of all, is excellent. You can pump six shots into a boss crit zone and it barely flinches. It melts Arc shielded majors like they were level 2 dregs. The Summoning Pits Nightfall with arc burn was a breeze and Phogoth will be your bitch. The invisibility is a "meh". It triggers after a few seconds of ADS and disappears after your first shot. I'd love to see it last the whole time since as I said, the stability lets you empty the magazine into a boss in no time. Don't think you'll be completely invisible in PvP with the sights up either. The shine from the scope is still there and anytime I've seen a sniper in PvP, I've seen the shine and rarely the player themselves. PnT also allows your radar to stay active while aiming which is better than the invisibility perk anyways. In summary, it's a pretty good PvP sniper due to the stability and the radar while ADS. Icebreaker is assuredly the better PvE gun unless there is arc burn. Hopefully posting something constructive in the forms will earn me enough Karma for Xur to sell Gjallarhorn next week! See ya Starside, Guardians.

  • I'd have to agree with this. I've had this gun for a while and although I love it I don't find the invisibility perk as useful as I thought. The stability and third eye though is pretty valuable. I am with you on that Gjallahorn though. I need that thing.
