Atheon and Templar can still be pushed off
As the title says, Atheon can still be pushed off the edge for a cheat win. The baby bumpers helped, but there are other areas that he can be knocked off from. Bungie, once again, this needs to be addressed. My suggestion. You don't even need any bumpers at all. Just change the Atheon fight so that if Atheon falls off the edge, he respawns back on the platform with full health and Enrage active. Simple solution, Bungie. I really don't know why you didn't just do this right from the start, but no worries. There's obviously still time to fix it.
Oh and there are plenty of other Raid glitches and bugs to fix as well, so get on those too.
In the meantime, I'll be looking forward to your next update.

It's the bugs in the game that kill you not Atheon, but great job Bungie for adding those "baby bumpers" because there isn't more pressing issues to fix 0_0

It wasn't easy to push atheon off. We tried for an hour before patch and could not push him off. So we beat it the normal way. We played it again the next week with a bad group and struggled at atheon so we finally said owell lets cheese him and within 10 tries we did it. This doesn't bother me at all if there is a way to beat something with a cheat method. Cheats have been part of gaming history. It's what we remember the most when the years go by and we say (hey remember when we could get infinite lives in contra on nes ? Up up down down left right left right A B select Start). Good old cheats are part of gaming and shouldn't be frowned upon. Just play it how you want to play it and enjoy the game. Its just a game.

2 RepliesBefore they fix the push atheon off after 5 hours of trying to, why not make it possible to finish the vog with out being disconnected other any of the other 20 or so things that cause you to wipe about 30 times, don't think anyone gives a shit about the push now, because it takes so long to do, you also need a certain piece of exotic armour and all your super for 1 try, if you don't get it then, you got to wait anther 10 mins for your next try. DEEJ no fix needed on this it's quicker to kill him

I'm just curious how you get your VM. I fount that lots of people who got VM by cheating now want him to be fixed. I'm not even bother to push Atheon because it's quicker to do it legit way on hard and even quicker on normal.

I think if you fall off the ledge then you should respawn and be able to use times vengeance.

2 RepliesOr just patch in that any raid boss death occurring by a fall off of a platform equals 1 spinmetal as a loot drop. that would stop the push/pull deaths pretty quickly.

Personally I never tried it myself, but the randoms we found did(I'm an overweight Titan) It actually is harder and more time consuming to push him off. After failing for two hours, they have up and he was down in 20 mins. My point is people attempting to push him are just wasting time and deaths. Therefore I think the bugs are more important then fixing the exploit. It's frustrating that the few times I have raided, I have to overcome the odds of bugs

Great idea let's have them fix the push off stuff instead of the glaring other bugs in VoG..... Great idea let's have them drop another patch so we ALL can add another 10000 random animal bugs to the zoo we already own. The way other people get their gear in no way has anything to do with you. The shit show that is the crucible is normalized and iron banner is a lie so gear is pointless. Having more people geared can only help groups get to harder content. Barring the people that have the gear aren't terrible. If you want to waste your time fighting atheon And wipe because only on or two people get ported or the relic holder can't get back through the portal that's on you. There is no exploits in the game that don't involve hacking. If Bungie didn't think that players were going to try and find faster ways to kill a boss then that on them.

if he is dropped down a cliff, they could simply respawn the boss with.. let's say full health.

5 RepliesYou my friend have used exploits too. Anyone can say they've done the raid legit. You got your raid weapons, now you want them to remove all exploits so no one else can get what you have. Now that sounds more legit then your claims. There are far more important things to patch or even add. I've exploited once & got a spaceship out of it. How many times did you exploit to get your mythoclast or other raid materials ? Since everyone else exploited to get theirs according to you. You should be the one to think before posting or commenting my friend. Here's my suggestion for you bungie How bout you remove everyone's raid material (including my own), -blam!- the raid up even more so that it's way more difficult to even reach atheon & see who earns their raid material legitimately. Sick of you cry baby posters stating how something should be done. Worry about yourself for once.

The Templar and Atheon push fix is even easier than that. Just teleport them back to their starting point. Even keep their current health and enrage states. It's just that simple. If they go below a certain height, teleport them back to their start point.

Its on youtube bungie knows really the bugs should be the primary fixes only then should atheon and the templar be addressed as far as future exploits go stop posting them when the devs have the same access to youtube as we all do

If Atheon falls off the edge, he respawns back on the platform with full health, with a Templar shield around him, Enrage is active, he spawns Gorgons instead of the usual enemies and the Raid gains the Nightfall modifier (if the fireteam wipes they have to return to orbit and start from the beginning). You can apply this change to the Templar fight as well so that players can't push him off either.
