Longface, you aren't experiencing the game the way that everyone else is. A large number of players, yes. And it's good that you speak on their behalf. I'm experiencing the game in a much different way. I've logged a LOT of time, and a good portion of it is extensive pvp play and extensive raiding. The endgame content is already such a blast. My friends list on PSN has QUADRUPLED since I bought Destiny. It's one of the best social gaming experiences I've ever had. Part of the reason for that is that I'm in a stage in life where I have a full time job, a wife, a kid, and lots of other various responsibilities that go along with those. So for me, I connect with other guys in Dads of Destiny who are in similar situations. When we game, it's not just about getting caught up in a story. In fact, I could care less about Destiny's story. What's there is interesting, but it's not why I play. I play so that I can have a challenging gaming experience with dynamic gameplay with like minded people and people in similar life situations where we can chat about our kids, our wives, where we live and what we do while blowing the crap out of aliens with beautiful environments, wonderfully addicting gear that we can stop using, and challenging game modes. I understand your disappointment. But my experience couldn't be MORE different. This game is fantastic. The amount of fun I've had with it is beyond what I've experienced in 95% of other games. I'm sorry you didn't get that same experience.
