...is because your ego can't take the reality of the situation, which comes down to buying an overhyped product that delivers nowhere near the amount of entertainment, immersion and content it advertised.
When you admit that Destiny is a mediocre game (and even bad by Bungie standards), it reflects badly on you. You did not exercise the wariness that a consumer should when purchasing a product (buyer beware) and now you're stuck with Destiny. It all comes down to your pride as a consumer.... and that's not a bad thing.
