The reason you defend your purchase...

...is because your ego can't take the reality of the situation, which comes down to buying an overhyped product that delivers nowhere near the amount of entertainment, immersion and content it advertised. When you admit that Destiny is a mediocre game (and even bad by Bungie standards), it reflects badly on you. You did not exercise the wariness that a consumer should when purchasing a product (buyer beware) and now you're stuck with Destiny. It all comes down to your pride as a consumer.... and that's not a bad thing. It's okay. I understand. That is all. edit: for all those people who said they had no expectations and are genuinely enjoying the game -- more power to you, brotha.

 •
The reason you defend your purchase...
Is because I like it. However, you psychoanalytic approach is noteworthy in many ways, I think it applies to your dad and his failure to divorce your mother because of his pride as a consumer of buy a bride schemes. The sterile, unloving environment, you call home, has clearly turned you into the obnoxious little twerp that dictates to us how we feel. It's okay, we understand. That is all.
