Blade dancer will do you best for the majority, gunslinger is helpful for killing oracles in VoG but is pretty useless otherwise

hands down go for gunslinger, heres why for each of the 4 main phases with hard mode in mind: defend confluxes and kill oracles. For this phase, in particular the defend the confluxes, your job with respect to your super is to generate orbs at a safe distance, thus allowing defender titans and selfres-locks to always have full super ability. During this phase i usually call out to the team to see if everyone is fully charged, if they are refrain from using your super for as long as possible, if you find yourself shooting red health bars then i recommend going for combustion the AOE explosion can allow you to generate a few extra orbs. however if you find yourself needing it more frequently then ofcourse go for regenerates faster. Now when you get the templar summons its legions [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6UJvbi-eS0#t=115 ] - spirit bloom chest run to the spirit bloom chest room with the rest of your team mates. this is really where you want to use your super. During this phase there are going to be yellow harpies, kill them with your golden gun to generate 4 to 8 orbs each, there is a trick though since their health is ridiculous you'll need to get them low, not hard since you are relatively safe but after you do so everyone will be fully charged except you. since hunters are popular i dare say you'll have more than one in your group so feel free to have the other person try the same tactic. this is essentially a rinse and repeat for the confluxes. Just remember you are pretty squishy, so have the warlocks or titans out in front if some one has to be out there. For the oracles there are two tactics, sit up the top and shoot the oracles with ice breakers and golden gun or do it legitimately, either way is not that hard, realistically the confluxes are the hardest part. Templar For the templar same as confluxes, except now you just stick close to the shield holder you just play as you normally would but alot safer. or until its fixed push the templar off the edge. Honestly with the drop chances its barely worth the effort to it legitimately, especially after you have done a few times and receive like 3 gauntlets and 20 ascendant energy. Gatekeeper For the gate keeper just send whoever is the strongest / highest dps (usually goes hand in hand with each other since level modifiers). Hunters are excellent shield holders specifically for the reason of their mobility, triple jump and speed is essential in my opinion as it lets you climb high quickly and ground pound with the right trigger really effectively. However... HOWEVER. If there are any hobgoblins in close proximity NEVER jump high, all that will happen is you'll get picked off reallllllly easily particularly when you are running through the portals. i cannot stress this enough, i die from this more than any other way in the VOG, yellow hoblins will one shot you in the head or 2 shot body shot you. Atheon since the changes to Atheon its fairly random all you can really do is generate orbs for your team mates outside but because of the buff it really doesnt matter too much, alternatively if your holding the gates open you can activate your golden gun against the supplicants that sit outside the gate to help those exiting. Do not use golden gun on atheon its really not effective. if you get teleported to the mars/ left gate then use your golden gun on the hobgoblins then youll be able to focus the oracles easily. as per usual get the toughest person to take the shield. this is the easy side. if you get teleported to the venus / right gate i'd highly recommend using the truth or Gjallahorn (IMO gjallahorn is hands down the best raid weapon) on the mobs, target the minotaur then help the relic holder to finish it. Once you have killed the minotaur there may be a few oracles spawned already, if you feel that you can handle them dont activate your golden gun otherwise go nuts, it makes it a lot easier. in terms of gear id say all you really want discipline and intellect, placing the emphasis on grenades and golden gun. therefore the most logical non hard mode gear is either achliophage symbiode or young ahamkaras spine. since i have the raid helmet i run that so i can generate orbs passively. but having 4 shots means more orbs for team mates and more chance youll kill tougher enemies.
