**UPDATE**"THEORY" 6th and 7th chest discussion.
We are attempting to figure out how to make the 6th and 7th chest spawn so far we have tried clearing the entrance without a pretorian entering a sync plate but nothing happened we will be retrying on hard mode tonight to confirm.
(5th chest confirmed can get in normal or hard mode by preventing the templar from teleporting)
7th chest has speculation on how to get it whether it is clear the gorgon maze without being seen on hard mode or speed runs etc.
We will be attempting all of these tonight on hard mode to test these theories. Any ideas and theories from players would be helpful we want to find these and show everyone else how to as well.
Everyone mocked us and called us liars when we said we said there was a 5th chest and BAM! confirmed!

14 RepliesThere's no point for bungie to hide that sort of puzzzles/rewards in the VoG. First of all, Destiny is not a game about puzzles, it's a game about defeating waves of enemies, defeating tough bosses (any "smart" way to deal with a boss is actually not intended by bungie to be a legit way) and being a hero saving the galaxy and other typical, straightforward and not too smart shit. Even the VoG strategy does not force players to do some tricky things, it just requires more coordination and some certain positioning while firing your weapons into waves and bosses. Second, there's no possible reward for such a hidden spot, and usual chest loot (i mean, vog chest loot) is not the appropriate reward for solving some puzzle and I do not believe game designers would do that. DestinyDB has even Crota's End's loot shown, but still no special exotics or something else to fit into the hidden chest. And the game mechanics itself does not encourage player to investigate, solve puzzles and stuff. Player just randomly gets (or not) random gear or shards, all this does not even depend on the player. However, there is a bonus chest for non-teleported templar. I believe, it is the only factor that encourages such speculations.
