Due to the fact that I work from home and being financially secure, I have paid for a .com domain for the forum (In beta ATM) and will be running various in game Destiny competitions with prizes for the winner and a runner up prize. I love Destiny and I think having little prize competitions will add a bit of extra fun to the game; I have some great ideas for a few of them. There will be a fireteam matchmaking section for each platform e.g Xbox 360 gets their own etc which I think will save time and reduce confusion. The forum will have its own Destiny style ranking system based not just on post count but also post quality. Helpful and supportive posts will go a long way as well as constructive criticism. Users that rank up highly in the forums and have lots of likes and positive feedback will receive an invite to the forums VIP section. There will be no advertisement at all on the site, I will not be accepting donations, I am doing this as I genuinely like this game and want to support the Bungie forums and website and am not doing this for profit. As the forum is in a beta stage at the moment, a few beta testers would be helpful. Just to join up, make a few posts, try to find any problems with the layout and what could be improved. Beta testers will get either a unique beta tester badge, custom title or rank, not sure which yet. The forum will be getting a full theme makeover before public release to give it a nice Destiny look and feel. This is going to be an ongoing project as I have plenty of spare time working from home anyway so the forum will be getting regular updates, upgrades and additions. There will also be a competition leaderboard too, as most gamers I feel like glory boards. Last thing, this is not a freebie forum but a paid commercial one as I feel that passionately about Destiny and the huge potential it has to be a great success.
