(YT VID added! and more)You Hunters are Naive. You are the best PvP class. Stop.

Disclaimer: This is not your typical " Hunter is OP" or "Hunter needs a nerf!" thread. I am not complaining. I am not calling anything Overpowered. I am giving you my take on why the hunter is best for PvP. I have made a video to actually show you what I see. Gamers that are replying immediately say "stop whining". This is not the case. I would like this to be a constructive thread. Nothing malicious. TL;DR: Sigh...it is a long post. If you fully read all the way of not. My whole argument to why the hunter, IMO, is the best PvP class is this: The ability over other classes to activate its super away from a fight and bring it in. The distance from which they can activate it and the time (duration/cooldown bar) of the super. Aside from sunsinger. No other class has a "timed" super and/or have a consistent multi kill super. There seems to be some confusion. In FPS there is a big difference between Overpowered, Over used, and Best. For some reason they are wrapped up and used as synonymous. Here is an example (IMO) of all. Over powered= Mythoclast pre patch Over used= Suros Regime. Not over powered, overused. Best= IMO ( Hunter.) best for PvP. This post has caught a little bit of steam. Trying to make it a much easier read. I have added a video so I can explain what [b]I see[/b]. Again. This has nothing to do with Overpowered. This has everything to do with it being the best overall class for PvP. I will go over the mind of a Titan and a Warlock player. This is that point: The hunter has the greatest chance to consistently get multikills. not just 1 kill. 2 or more. [i]Consistantly[/i], as opposed to a one and done super. I am asking others to challenge me on this. I would like to call out the players that are naive about the hunter. By the way, again, this is no malicious post. It is an eye opener. At the end, I expect a people to say. Wow, you know what? You are right CoolGuy. I did not see that! I am in no way calling for a nerf or a buff or anything of that nature, but PvP balancing will be coming to a server near you in the future. The Hunter, Titan, and Warlock will all be tweaked. Nothing in this game is overpowered as far as supers go. Everything can be countered. HOWEVER. Frame rate/ timing has to be PERFECT to shut down some supers. Here is why i believe the Hunter is the absolute, hands down, best PvP class. [u]The Titan[/u]: Pertinent perks to the class. 1.) The shoulder charge- Yes, very silly . I agree. 2) The fist of Havok -[b] Here is something I want you to think about.[/b] 1.) Others say, well, the Titan FoH is a panic kill. Essentially, it is. You see, as a Titan, I find my self perpetually holding on to my super. This is not by choice. It is just the way it is. I am not sure if other players have even brought this extremely relevant point up. I can only speak for myself and my friends who use Warlocks. They say the same exact thing for a nova bomb. I get my super.....eh....wait for the perfect time. Wait for a couple enemies to group up......eh.....I find myself using it ONLY to defend myself. Aside from rare occasions in control. 3 people never group up. You pretty much have NO idea when to super with the Titan or Warlock. By the time I use it, i could have another super almost lol. But that is the thing, as a Hunter, i see my bar is up. Spawn. See a dot. BOOM. We are in GG mode. Do you pick up what I am puttin down? The main thing about the fist.[b] The Titan has to be all in your grill to kill you. [/b] Also, I am aware that the super DOES come back for the Titan and not for the Hunter. Again, i expect this to be addressed with a PvP update. However, the hunter...really should not be killed. The GG is easy street. As with the Titan Super coming back? Someone will die from the fist....someone....but then again. As a Titan (or Warlock)....you are constantly looking when to use your super...It is dragged way out....for 1 kill. We will get to the Hunter later. 3) The purple bubble- Let's be real. The bubble goes up. Why even go in there. I can not believe people even complain about this..... Add on: A helmet can make the bubble blind people . ( yeah, really...do not go in there) In all, the Titan is sluggish. Not very agile ( even with traits). The player model for the Titan is HUGE. Big target. [u]The Warlock[/u]: Pertinent Perks 1) Voidwalker- The nova bomb. I am OK with the nova bomb. Honestly, it the [b]same exact thing as a one and done rocket[/b]. Again, timing by the user can be a fail. If fail or a hit...Super is done in one small area about eh size of a rocket blast. 2.) Sunsinger- Only super that has a duration. I will point out, it is no where near the lethality of the hunter. I have seen some bad sunsinger users lol. IMO can be very good...or very bad. If the user is good, then the sunsinger can do some damage. Again....I am OK with this. The player model for the Warlock is AVERAGE. Has a little more agility. Regular target. 3. [u]The Hunter[/u]- Pertinent Perks ( here we go) Main focus: Distance and Duration. 1) The blink- Fast little guy comes around a corner with a shotgun. Jumps like MJ, you lose him. You are dead. The blink is so hard to track/defend. I am fully aware that the warlock has blink. I am also fully aware that the hunters player model is small and faster than the warlock too.... 2.) archblade invisibility- It is there....it CAN be a thing. 3) Gunslinger- The "golden gun". 3 shots, [i]almost[/i] guaranteed kills. Here is the main thing(s). Distance and Duration. There is a standoff. A hunter can pop his super from cover., do his little captain planet fist pump. and bam...dead. If the first shot misses, there are 2 more. But wait.....Say the first shot kills. The hunter keeps going to ice maybe a couple other guardians. Distance and duration. The hunter does not need to be close and the super can be spread out. Sure you can hear the hunters supers.....but really.....what can you do? I run.....sometimes it does not work. If roles were reversed. In a 1v1 situation. SURE. The titan or warlock would kill the hunter. However, that is just ONE kill. The super is over. Helmet Perk: Can add another golden gun shot. 4 total shots. 4) The bladedancer- We have all seen it. It is all about timing. The super can be a dud...or a gamechanger. Not a one a done and again this is the theme. You can run around. We have all seen teams slaughtered by the blades. When in bladedancer, the user has more shields and is much faster. I will not go too much into it. Just the main thing for the hunter....[b]distance and duration.[/b] I am OK in PvP and get matched with good players. Imagine Fighting a full team of Hunters in PvP .I show GREAT examples in the video. All with gunslinger that have 4 shots. [b]THE ORBS THEY DROP[/b]. The team communicates well. It is almost 20 guaranteed kills from a distance. 2 min of death.. Same with bladedancer. Think about that. Challenge me . If you can. TY For the replies!

  • "I have used a Titan well over 1500 hours" 1500/24= 62.5... So you have played 62.5 complete days since release? The game hasn't even been out 2 months. I stopped taking your post seriously after reading that claim, even if is hyperbole.
