Why on earth, Dead Orbit, won't you take my Vanguard Marks?! Now, before you flame me saying "PVP is a part of this game deal with it!!", let me explain why this agitates me so much.. If you listen to the transmission while you're doing some of the random missions during free-roam, you'll notice the person mention gathering stuff for a certain faction (I.E. Future War Cult). So if we do this for Future War Cult, we recieve Vanguard rep. Why on Earth does this not apply to the faction vendors like Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and New Monarchy concerning Marks? I occasionally play PVP on this game, but even then, the real attraction is the PVE aspects of Destiny, and its what I play the most. Naturally, this means I gain Vanguard Marks significantly faster then Crucible Marks and therefore have nothing to spend them on (Besides stuff to breakdown). This is also besides the fact that the amount of equipment for the vanguard vendors is VERY limited compared to what you can get with crucible marks. Basically, this is what I'm trying to say: There is very little variety for Vanguard armor (Stats and bonuses wise), and to fit your build your only choice is using Crucible Marks to buy from Faction Vendors. For example, my Titan needs gloves with an Assault Rifle reload speed bonus and an increase in Intellect and Strength. However, the vanguard vendor only has gloves with Discipline and Strength, so my Vanguard Marks are useless unless I plan on buying abunch of stuff to break down. Not to mention he only sells gloves with a reload bonus/ammo capacity bonus for two types of weapons... I see no good reason for this and I would like to see the Vanguard Armor vendors change or at least let us purchase items from the three faction vendors with Vanguard Marks. TDLR: No good reason for not being able to purchase items from Dead Orbit, New Monarchy, or Future War Cult with Vanguard Marks. Would like to see that changed, even if the Vanguard Mark cost is more then the Crucible Mark cost.
