Fix VoG loot...

So its week what...6 or so into Destiny and already Bungie has tried to balance the loot system with the changes to the cryptarch and to engrams. While I've noticed a significant decline in the rate of legendary engram drops from both mobs and faction rank levels, I still gladly welcome the change. My problem, and Im sure this is a dead horse, is with the rng bullshit in VoG. I have 3 characters 28 and above all 3 classes all of which I run at least normal mode on each week given available time to play. Each week it seems as though I am given the shaft as if it were some cruel joke by the people at Bungie. Across 3 characters I have yet to get 3 pieces of the raid gear on a single character, have yet to get any exotic gear/weapons, and it seems I get nothing but 80% ascended energy 15% cloaks and skirts for different classes and 5% ascended shards. Luckily the weekly heroics aren't much of an issue other than finding friends who aren't saved. So each week I am forced to grind it out in hopes Xur has anything worth while. Its frustrating to perform well in a raid and get 2-3 ascended materials for each fight while others are getting multiple drops from a chest/boss. Essentially just stuck in loot limbo and unable to get to level 30 and have that extra edge in the game not because of lack of skill but simply a terrible loot system. Where in other mmos even if you're the last person to get an item, given that it drops, you can still be awarded the loot because you can freaking trade/hand out loot. This game while being fun to play can be one of the most frustrating pieces of garbage at times. We need a new drop system in raids or a different way to amass the amounts of ascended materials like vog. Just tonight I got 11+ascended energy and shards both and not a single other drop than a useless dye which along with thw legendary class items give essentially nothing when you break them down.

  • Call me crazy, but a simple fix to this could be to reduce the rate of ascendant materials by a decent amount and adding a vendor selling them for 2500-5k glimmer a piece..... since all we do with it anyway is buy ammo
