As I travel what little remains of Earths great countries my travels brought me to an ancient country called the United States of America. I found a sign near a large canyon and my Ghost told me about this place which is called the Grand Canyon. He recalls all the cryptarchs told us about this place when the ground beneath me fell down on to a ledge thirty meters below bringing me along. As I rise to I find no sign of my Ghost. I call for him and I see him appear around the corner urging me over. As I approaching my ghost location I can see a massive battle took place here recently with Hive and Fallen corpses lying still on the ground. As I go to get out I notice something reflect the light with a blue tint and this made me curious to what it was. I call for my sparrow to travel to what is left of the battle. I search and within a fifty meter radius we found three dead ghost. I ask my own ghost to revive their memories and store them for later review. I go back to the Tower and find my home in our little city for the guardians up here. I make it to my home after briefing the vanguards of my findings. I go to my study and ask my ghost to tell me everything that happened during that conflict. This is battle is later to be known as... (The pages are torn by what looks to be a dreg claw)
