Does anyone want a trading ability added to destiny? for when you got something not suitable but is suitable for your friend when he has something suitable for you but not for him and other reasons?

  • I think, at the least, they should allow you to drop weapons and armour if they aren't gonna put in a trading system. I personally would love it if they put in something like the GTS from Pokeman... like you put in one thing, ask for an other, and someone else can accept the trade, but make it balanced so that iif you put up an blue for trade, you can only ask for a blue or less(that way people arn't putting up the first autorifle asking for the Hard Light)

    • If they could implement a trading system that worked then cool, but the only thing I ever see happening from trading is people somehow duplicating items.

    • The only way I would be ok with a trading system is if you could only trade weapons and armor and you had to trade items of equal value (e.g. exotic primary's could only be traded for other exotic primary's) and all purchased upgrades for that item are reset with no refund on shards/energy or materials. This would prevent any sort of real money black market and make the trading more regulated preventing people from just giving away items.

Trading? Every game that involves trading has two kinds of players: Players who get rich without playing the game and Players who play the game who never come close to the wealth of others. I understand trading means you can get that shader or exotic faster and much much easier. However, Someone always gets the better trade. Players who know the game of trade will get wealth further than the lone wolf could ever achieve. Even though there's a 25k glimmer cap you can still hold as many silken codex as you want, so silken codex type items would become the new currency as each piece holds 200 glimmer. Trading. I'm pretty neutral about it. I won't be mad if they add it, I don't care if they don't. Items in destiny have a very personal value, getting the Exotic Bounty weapons have a personal price to it. Trading would label what that price is.
Trading will speedily end Destiny. Trade-Players will get what they want to soon and feel as if the game has little or nothing to give. (As the game already has little to offer capped players.) Players who do not know trade will beg, and beg. Never feeling like they achieved anything because the wealth they see others have is unreachable.
• You know why there is not really a trade system right? You can have 1 exotic armor equipped, and 1 weapon. If you were able to trade, than as soon as you got 2 exotics of any kind you would be able to trade them for the 2 you want. Also once you have full purple armor than everything else is usless, so you could just give it to your friends. Players would not need to grind level 20-26. Player would also trade motes of light, energys, coins, and purple gear for shards. The game would take 30 hours to finish every single bit of content -PVP. Every mission, Every Strike, and The Vault.

      • The problem with trading at this point is that the loot system is in need of overhaul. I would be ok with trade once the loot system is perfected. Trade isn't even really needed right now with the drop rates being what they are.

      • Only if you find some way to cap the system to keep it from breaking the system. Maybe have a pawn shop? Put your unwanted purple and golds in the shop for a portion of what they would sell. Have the pawn shop drop the last damage or armor slot from the item since it is "used". Purple chest in the pawn shop sells for 50 vanguard/crucible, the person who pawned it gets 35. This would keep the game honest and still give a discount for good (but not as good) gear.

      • Could we not? I mean have you played Borderlands 2? the trading system broke and everyone had legendaries and pearls. Some people including myself farmed for hours and went into someones game and emptied the inventory and dashboarded and did that all day cause we ran outta things to do. A trading system will break the game and leave it unbalanced because everyone will have the gear they need and their will be no point on playing because everything will melt like butter before you because you got the right gear for your build. exotics and legendaries will become a common currency and everyone will have them and the game will flail and die because it does not have as many things to take on as BL2 does and did.
