White or Black Screen When Going to the Tower
Since the 1.0.2 patch, I've been running into a situation where I can select the tower, hit 'launch' and see the ship animation as the tower loads, but once I'm down on the surface the screen is completely white or black. I can hear sound in the background so I know my character is actually on the tower. I can also navigate back to my ship if I hit the touch pad and then hold triangle so I know the game is not locking up.
I do not know how to recreate the issue just yet, but I've run into it 4 times in the last 12 hours.

I keep getting the same problem. With my level 30 Titan, every time I try to go to the tower, I get a white screen with npcs talking. Please fix this 😁

I am having the same issue as well. Will show loading animation and I can still open my inventory and go to orbit but screen either all white or black

This same thing happens to me on occasion. I can access the tower with my hunter and my primary Titan, but my other Titan just gets a black screen with the NPC's talking. I can pull up menus and go to orbit, but I can't see what's going on in the Tower. It eventually fixes itself but it's a pain.

OMFG I can't get to the damn tower on my hunter. I let the game set for over 20 mins and just a black screen. I can get there on my Titian and Warlock but my hunter just gets the black screen. FIX THIS!!!

What the hell bungie!!!!!!! I'm experiencing this back to back non stop now. It's never happened to me before now it's doing it every single time I go to the tower. What the hell. I've supported bungie through everything but this takes the cake. I can't even get a bounty or turn in any because I can't see!!!!!!

It's been pretty consistent for me too. Black screen for a couple minutes while hearing the NPC speak in the background. I'm on PS4. I can navigate the options menu during that time as well. This is a stupid bug, please fix, Bungie.

This just started last night for me too. I've waited for 4 or 5 minutes and nothing ever happens. End up going to orbit. It has become very consistent and I can't go to the tower anymore.

Same. Once I had to reset. The other times it takes a solid minute or two to load in and return to normal.

I play on both Xbox One and 360 and only experience this with 360. My friends who run into this issue are also only on 360. The work around we came up with is join the tower separately and who ever can see sends fire team invites. So long as there is room in the tower they should be able to join and see as well.

Again black (or white when coming from planet other than earth orbit). Today it is all the time ...i can go to tower anymore. Hopefully you are working on it.

I am having this same problem. I noticed it starting Saturday. It doesn't happen all of the time but it is still annoying.
