One of the most fun things to do in this game, is acquire new abilities for your class. Unfortunately, we all eventually reach a point where we can no longer do this, because we have unlocked all of the abilities.
My idea is to give each class more abilities, but they do not have to be new ones, just ones that expand upon the others already acquired.
For example, make it so there is an ability that you can unlock to make the ward of dawn (titan bubble shield) have a larger radius. You can add in an ability to make it last longer too. But make it so there is nearly no limit to the amount of these abilities. Make it so there will always be another ability down the road that will make your bubble shield larger, or last even longer.
I personally play as the bladedancer, what you could do for the blade dancer, is simply make it so its arc blade lasts longer.
Now i already know what many of you are thinking, your thinking that doing this would make each class simply to over powered for pvp.
This is where my idea for a new type of pvp mode comes in.
What if you could have a pvp mode where battles took place on the large mission maps, like in the cosmodrome on earth, or on the moon, or on venus. This pvp mode would also have a player limit of instead 24-64 players rather than 12. Battlefield 4 on xbox one has much better graphics than this game, not only that, but its maps are also much larger, there is also destruction. Yet the game can still run 64 players, i do not see why destiny which has smaller maps, and less intense graphics, could not do the same.
In this game mode, players would be free to use their significantly more powerful abilities. Players would become godlike, imagine a super high level sun singer warlock. That is so strong, that it can fly/hover indefinitely with its flaming wings, constantly flinging suns at people. The sunsingers melee would change into a flamethrower like ability, where the longer you hold down the button, the more flames it sprays out.
This is only one example of the many epic abilities that each class would acquire.
ideally, you would want to make each class equally powerful.
The titans bubble can pop if it takes to much damage from another super. To combat this, make it so if the titan holds down their super button. The titan will go into a stance, as if it is holding up the shield with its bare hands. As long as the titan holds his shield up, it will not be destroyed, the down side, is this will immobilize the titan.

Edited by Roushlamn: 10/5/2014 9:18:47 AMOn the upgrade thing... only if you have the same number of actives as you currently have. Want to upgrade the bubble? Fine. But you have to give up your jump for it. That sort of choice. Then it is a decent idea that doesn't break anything.

Here's the thing, I like the idea but there is already a problem to fix first. The net code is so atrocious and the up/down data they are moving is so bloated it would be unplayable with that many people. Side note, and please excuse if this has been answered but there is another slot for subclass so I wonder if you will get a version of your idea at some point.

I agree they need to add more abilities that do different things similar to d3! I like the route your going however they should have a cost picking one! Longer arc blade, more vulnerable to damage

Some decent ideas, but in order to not totally wreck the game, say, for instance, you choose to make the Titan bubble bigger, it would be more squishy, or half its longevity. Perhaps they could only be used in the expansion or something...
