People need to stop acting like fans and start acting like paying customers. Bungie produced a product that cost real world money. They did not produce a Gift. The misplaced loyalty people have for corporations continues to baffle me to this day. Bungie mislead consumers and engaged in false advertisiment. These are facts. Having said that, I won't complain too much because as an adult I am ultimately responsible for what I spend my earned income on. Only I am accountable for that. But what I will do is, be far more skeptical of Bungie's future content. I will not be buying it until there are thousands of opinions, articles, and videos, discussing it. They are trying new things and using player feedback to fix them. Last time I checked they didn't promise us an amazing story nor is there solid proof that it was cut up for DLC. There is the possibility that the story they made for the game was just straight up crap and has nothing to do with DLC. Also save the Feedback forum for actual feedback instead of pointless ranting.

I'm so in two minds about this. The story was crap, let's be honest. At some points ghost said some things, c grade anime queen lady got grumpy and weird bro snickered. Finished it and a robot handed me a crappy gun, cause the evil cow wanted me to get owned in pvp.... However, after 100 plus hours ( of doing the same shit over and over) it's hard to say I haven't got value for money time wise. If it was Terrible to play, then I wouldn't do the same strike again and again. I would have given up on level 30 ages ago, but I haven't. Would I prefer more variety. Hells yes. But have I played it every spare minute I get, Yep. Would more of the poo story have made much difference? To me I don't think so. What would have been nice is more things do to and placed to do them in for the grinding. The devs surely know that a f@&$ ton of grinding is required to max things out, so why they thought that people wouldn't complain about the claustrophobia of the maps makes me wonder. The real kicker is being told a modifier is new content... Give me the chance to apply my own modifiers !!! I want level 28 angry heroic epic solar arc void burn light switch insano patrol. I want all yellow hand canon only one life strike, or melee only level 1 strike. Change it up devs. I love playing in this fantastic playground, but by December I'm going to be able to do it with my eyes closed! Which is no fun for a visual medium. Do you even have any evidence? Bungie released an official statement regarding the DLC. They said that they had put the map markers in before release, but the levels themselves were empty. And no shit we don't owe Bungie an apollogy, we bought they're -blam!-ing empty-ass game. But the game [i]is[/i] getting better, albeit slowly. Bungie is running a business, and technically they owe us nothing. We cannot sue them on the basis of they're game sucking. So why don't people like you stop whining and do something constructive for once. Nothing personal.

You release a 100% completed story, then later you add to it via DLC to create longevity." Correct. Its called purchase motivation generation. This is a repeat business structure for the game to survive and be successful. If you don't have repeat purchases of your product and generate a growing base of continuous customer payments your costs of maintenance and operation will not be covered. When that happens you go dark. Not to mention that without revenues exceeding fixed costs you can't invest in development of new content - which is NOT optional with a game that is persistent.

On a separate note: I find it funny that people are treating this as a dire political issue that could derail the progression of America. If people were to be this passionate about actual issues, then maybe we could live in a better world. But alas, people today can only amount to "consumer activists." Which is pathetic. I like the story in the game so far, gives just enough for u to know kinda what's going on, but still unknown and makes me want more.

Yall expect to much from a game upon release if they delivered a full game it'll be a dead game. At least the games creators are still there patching and giving us new challenges every week. Thank you creators for making a good game

First of all, there is no evidence that the DLC is actually on the disc already, and that it will be unlocked later, the story we got is the 100% completed story of this first game. Now the quality of said story is up for debate obviously, but diving headlong into conspiracy theories about what was and wasn't cut, and immediately absorbing the supposed early story change/cover up theories is frankly reactionary and silly. If anyone actually has any actual evidence or proof that the story was cut up and thrown into DLC by all means post it here.
