So I've played quite a bit of crucible now and my rage is over 9000. I've always been a semi auto guy and a skilled one at that and that's not gonna change with this game. I just can't handle how so many people have zero pride and just pick the best guns and think they are good. When I check every game what people are using 80% of the times it's auto rifles and shotguns and out of the 80% of them the auto rifle is the SUROS Regime. I honestly can't believe that Bungie made a game that has more emphasis on holding the trigger and spraying then well placed skilled shots. I liked Halo because of the pistol, Battle Rifle and DMR not the plasma rifle or assault rifle. They pretty much made a game for noobs. Thanks Bungie.

Team shottys for the win.

If you get destroyed at all it is your fault unless the other person is cheating. Adapt And overcome

The way I see it is it should reflect real fire arms, pulse and assault rifles stats should be the same with exception of grouping, scopes and stability where the assault rifle should have wider grouping if bursted and harder to aim at a distance but capable of doing so, but if youd try to fire bursts as fast as a pulse rifle youd have less stability, harder to keep your grouping. Scout rifles however should have heavy impact slower fire rate pin point accuracy but clumsy if trying to fight inside a curtain range unless you keep your cool.

Imo if they cut down the delay timer between shots, scout rifles would be more balanced. Dps is an issue when going against autos. They probably have double the dps. I have a thread on suggestions to balance the weapons if you're interested in reading.

I love running around in the crucible holding down R1 button spraying bullets frantically into the air getting kills. I also sip my coffee, while I watch the guy with the scout rifle try to kill me but I just snipe him with my suros from across the map. And laugh to myself as I walk away shotgun blasting any one that dares to get close enough to look at me funny.
-
I use both, the scout rifle has accuracy and lethality where is the auto rifle has a torrent of lead and versatility.
-
I agree with you i love well placed shots to the face delivered by i single pull of the trigger!!!
-
Auto rifles might spray but they also miss a good majority of shots at a certain range where as scout rifles have an advantage of you get killed with an auto rifle you can blame yourself or you can admit that the person who beat you actually knew how to use it because damage is balanced people just fail to understand situational weapons

I'm sorry bra but until they nerf the range capabilities or the body/head shot damage of the auto's I wouldn't personally play anything but Skirmish and Salvage. Autos in the 6v6 play lists are so ungodly to deal with same with shotguns. In 6v6 positioning is a complete non factor in the games, where as, in Skirm and Salv its is and can be damn near everything. The scout riffle and pulse riffle have very set ranges where if you get in to close past them they just fail completely in comparasin to most autos. According to destiny tracker my average range from the target when I kill someone is around 60m and even then certain autos can still just down me in the blink of an eye. Its almost the same thing with the Sniper riffle as well, where most maps don't promote the use of the gun 90% of the time compared to just how down right dirty the shotgun is in terms of effectiveness. I have seen those twitch reflex warriors who hold the sniper head level and pray you walk into it but they are really few and far between. My suggestion right now is do not a Scout riffle if you can't find one with at least 50% of the fire rate bar full and you're not standing at long range. If you're going to use a single fire weapon it better Pulse riffle; preferably Strange suspect, Bad seed down, or a blue that has a near full fire rate bar (I have one and it shoots 1 for 1 as fast as you can pull).

I still using rare auto rifle and I always kill them a lot when they use exotic auto rifles. My rare auto rifle is best.
-
Pulse rifles aren't viable with the fire rates they have. You just can't unload fast enough to compete. A semi-auto should kill in 3-4 shots. ARs just melt, kinda have to because they're no smgs.

Auto rifles are already in for a nerf in the future i believe, check the dev blogs for confirmation.
