Regretting my expansion pass, but I learned my lesson. Here's what will make buying it worth it.

Bad Guardian dream?

Or keep the story as is?

Unfortunately while I've had some decent fun and still continue to enjoy myself, I'm noticing that the hype got the better of me with this purchase. I'm a believer in the past day's conspiracy theories and the arguments are logical. This is even strengthened by the complete lack of transparency and the arrogant comment by DeeJ saying that all of us are being trolled by someone other than Bungie and Activision. There's no way this was the intended product, the proof is everywhere and while Bungie's posts and PR has to be calm, collected and over confident in their product I can only imagine how chaotic and the other feelings going around in response to the widespread "WTF"s being thrown out for numerous issues. I really wish I could get my expansion pass refunded and see how Bungie/Activision (you're both at fault) and their obvious lack of solid leadership in the later phases of developing this game. There is enough PR proof and statements made by employees that are not even close to the finished product and that should be fixed so here's what the title of the DLC should be called: "Destiny: The Unsold Chapters" This is where you claim the original game was all just a dream and prophecy of what's to come and after the Black Garden mission the Guardian wakes up to his DinkleGhost and the original story begins. Now you can give us the game that you intended to give us all along instead of a couple more missions with the same objectives of fighting 3 waves to open a door but first you must travel from the patrol start point all the way to the other side of the continent on your sweet hoverbike (because every planet is only allowed a single continent, that's a scientific law apparently). In addition to 3 missions just like stated above, you'll have 2 strikes on planets we've been on before but it's all new! Except each strike takes the same path as the "new missions" but they add a whole new, extra...."room" that contains a really pretty looking, easy to exploit and manipulate bullet sponge with one static weak point and an influx of trash mobs while at the end not rewarding any significant loot other than a few Vanguard marks and sometimes an item worth 200 Glimmer. This is your way to take the game you gave us and still give us the game you so obviously and whole heartedly wanted to give us. Give us the original story as your new "DLC" because we as a community deserve that and oh there's you know, this little tidbit from IGN: Jones said they know that players “don’t want to work hard, they don’t want to read, and they don’t’ want to go to the Internet to figure out our bullshit.” So just do everyone a favor and give us what we wanted in the first place like Bioware should have done with ME3 and go with the idea that the original abomination of a story was just a horrible, incoherent dream of our Guardian while he/she was dead so we can justify giving you more money.

 • Destiny has no story so they don't have to reboot it just release the original material over time. Based on what I've read of the original plot it is still mostly compatible with what we have. There would not need to be that many changes since pretty much nothing, story wise, has been offered so far in the game. Bungie can always disavow the grimoire cards since they aren't in the game itself. I see this whole thing as completely salvageable .
