A random freshman just walked up to me and said he needed help. He was carrying poster board and a book.
"Are you doing an English project? What do you need help with?" I asked.
"Oh, this? Oh no, I don't need help with that." He tossed his rolled up poster board onto a nearby desk. "I heard you are level 27 in Destiny? Do you really play?"
I logged into Bungie.net and showed him my profile.
"Kid, I'm not a PvPer," I said, "so I can't help you with--"
"Oh no! Not that. Could you help me with one of the Queen's missions? No one I know plays. Is that okay?"
"Sure... but can I at least know your name, first?"
This officially cheered me up today.

Teachers fraternizing with students outside of school is never a good idea. Innocent as it may be, it can easily be misinterpreted. Go ahead, ask your administrator if they think it is okay to socialize with a student outside of school.
