Will you buy DLC?
So, for me, when DLC comes out for destiny, I'm definitely going to wait to buy until I know exactly what the content is. I'm loving this game. But the difference between shelving it after a couple months and playing it for years will probably be the substance of these first two already planned DLC packs.
I'm curious about the community as a whole, though. Has destiny won your loyalty? Are you, like me, cautious but optimistic? Or, is the game already running its course for you?

I made a topic for this a few moments ago. In short please don't buy the DLC. If you feel like reading why: After getting my character to level 28, I decided to get rid of my Playstation 3 and copy of Destiny. Before I get in to the reasons why, I will be buying a Playstation 4 to play Bloodborne. I decided to sell my system because I realized if I didn't I would keep playing Destiny despite it's insanely repetitive nature. I don't want to support a company who thinks it's ok to sell a shell of a game for full price and DLC's to supplement the lack of content to begin with. This is truly the only way to make your voice heard. Do not give Bungie/Activision any more of your money. Part of me wishes I waited for more patches and updates but let's all be honest with ourselves, Bungie is not going to give us the major overhaul this game clearly needs. I don't want to digress too much. Again, I implore you not to give any more money to Bungie/Activision in the future. If you don't intend on getting rid of your copy of Destiny, do yourself and the community a favor by not purchasing the DLC's. I know it will be tempting but just don't do it. For every dollar that is spent on DLC's for this game, you vote to ensure Bungie/Activision (and possibly other developers) will deliver subpar content in the future. Vote with your wallet. I emphatize with everyone disappointed by this game but we really need to put our foot down. We absolutely cannot let this be the AAA standard for video games.

3 RepliesI will if they add matchmaking to everything but raids. If they do not I won't be playing anymore. I work nights and finding people to do simple missions with is a chore. And it doesn't have to be. I want to be able to jump on do dailies, weekly and get off if I need to. I'm not demanding anything from bungie. But this game loses much of its appeal to me without matchmaking for heroics/weekly. Progression past 20 without a group is mind numbingly boring. And flat out not fun for me. I suspect a large portion of the community has similar feelings from what I've read. #yourmovebungie

I don't know, it adds another raid and missions in the Reef, as well as more strikes to Moon and Earth. Will be enjoyable.

7 RepliesIf you buy the dlc then u might as well paint the words sucker on your forehead, and if u already have then you probably already have it . How can reasonably intelligent people can't see that we were sold a partial game as the full story was cut and taken out to be sold later.. Instead of releasing a full game and expanding on the storyline later with dlcs , we were all conned and if you buy the dlc then they will never learn. All the major reviewers all over the world see this , some people need to stop being so nieve and wake up to themselves . The only way bungie can redeem themselves is to release the full story free of charge and charge for expansion packs later on . If you stupidly buy the dlc with the cut out story missions and strikes , then just tattoo FANBOY on your forehead as well.

I will wait and see for a couple things. 1: I want to see some decent free content updates in the meantime along with some actually quality special events. No repeats of this useless Queen's Wrath special event that added nothing of note, just the same story missions over again with enemies with super good shields. 2: DLC content better be legitimately amazing. In all seriousness the first 2 should be free as way of an apology. My faith in Bungie would be instantly restored and I would likely happily buy all future DLC. For me to buy it after being presented with the current state though it will have to be really quality content and I'll still be resentful for having to pay extra $ to finally get some story.

U guys havent played games mmo,s all mmos have their in game new content loaded in gradually. Only happens to online games. Bakas i say. If u really think about it lets put it this way in a silly stupid metaphor. You buy a toilet to take a poop. And u find out toilet paper doesent come with the toilet to whipe ur arse. Now u have to buy a add on toilet paper. Then another add on a plunger in case u clog the damn thing. Grow up people stupid arse people. Dont like it dont play the game. The ones that bitch about it most are the ones that probably suck the most at the game. Fyi contructive feedback and plain ass bitching are two different things. Tried to shave of €10 by buying the collectors edition ( game + the 2 expacs ). Last time il try to save on new games.

3 RepliesAs it stands I'm waiting to see and more than likely for it to be put on sale a couple of months after release. I'm getting my character to 30 a nice kit out then going to transfer to dragon age 3 and then flick between the two games as and when.

1 ReplyIf each dlc package has at least 30+ more hours of additional content i will gladly buy. When I say additional content, I mean straight forward story missions and some more strikes. I'm not counting new bounties, patrols, and grinding through raids and strikes over and over for better gear for lvling.

1 ReplyI certainly won't be playing Destiny for years, it's jut not polished enough for it to keep me away from Borderlands: pre-sequel/lords of the fallen and dragon age: inquisition! But who knows, IF Bungie actually start listening to the fans and make the changes that would clearly enhance the game, then we'll see! As for the DLC, I probably will get it, but it'll be as a Christmas gift rather than me spend my money on it
