How should I report players for leaving early if their name disappears when they leave

I leave strikes all the time. I refuse to play the exact same strike 2 times in a row. If you have an issue with that, learn how to 2 man it, or solo. I can do it, and I most likely would have carried the team anyway.
-
Seems this guy doesn't no any excuses for leaving
-
Prob a server drop out man, plenty of them going around at the moment. At least with friends we can jump straight back in but with with randoms you just end up in another instance.
-
Why on earth would you report players for leaving. you sound like my 10 year old "daddy Jimmy wont play with me". what do you want from people? sure it is rude to leave groups but maybe their baby woke up from a bad dream or maybe their kid needs help with home work. maybe the wife need her oil changed. my point is that the world does not revolve around you!

They could have had a server drop. Chill out. Like yesterday my partner and I were starting a lvl 24 Devil's Lair Strike with someone random. We got to the Gauntlet first wave, the person we were with died. I ran over to revive and both my partner and I were kicked to title screen, leaving him still dead, in a strike alone and no way to contact him. This has happened numerous times. This is one of the main reasons I hate this no communication outside of fire team thing. Cause on ps3 none of the matchmakers show up on the players met list either. If I don't remember the user name then there is no way for me to communicate what happened to the person we were with and feelings get hurt. So before you go off the handle and want to report everyone, step back and think about why they dropped. Cause 90% of the time its not their fault.

People that file reports are scum!! Snitches get stitches
-
Probably by either A = Getting a life. B = Growing the f*ck up. C = Both. I recommend option C
-
Try drinking bleach as step one
-
only thing I don't like is people who join rumble and leave if they don't get their first blood medal. Lol but they lose out on reputation and gear. So they are penalized enough without you reporting them.
-
So it's my fault my supervisor calls me into work? Or that my wife, who is recovering from a c-section, and two other surgeries, needs my assistance? Or that my newborn, and two other children, need my attention at that given moment? Life happens man. Just get over it. Find a clan or some people to play with.
-
If it was something they wanted to get people for they could, they have the ability to see this in every case if they want to. Reporting them is just going to show that you are upset about it in that case. Two things they could add: 1) Let you join back in if you were disconnected and not part of a fire team, 2) Make the matchmaking fill the blank spaces on existing strikes more readily with new people (maybe an opt out if some people are going to be upset about it).
-
what if they got disconnected from the server?
-
So you want to report people for leaving I would be top of bungies list then ! Only because it ain't me wanting to leave it bungies bloody server issues kicking me out saying look up beaver or centipede error

Edited by Cyriacus: 9/30/2014 3:06:44 PMBetween getting knocked off and having to raise a 7 year old, life happens. Bungie already tried the punishment thing for people leaving early and they got a community flogging for it. It totally back fired on them and they pulled it.

You do realize that they might not be leaving but getting kicked out of the game don't you? The Destiny servers are sketchy sometimes. I've lost connection a hand full of times from them with 50/5 Internet and I never lag out of games.
-
When you're in the Vangaurd Playlist and you start the same strike for the third time in a row you start getting a little pissed. Especially if you didn't leave matchmaking until that point...
-
I'm not sure why everyone is giving you so much crap about this lol but I agree you should be able to report them.
-
Uh, no. This game has crappy servers that disconnect people all the time. What if they have kids? What if they are kids who's parents made them get off? Deal with the fact that real life is a thing and it comes first.
-
My wife > my family > my friends > my everyday life > my work > videogames > caring about what you think because I left early.
-
This is why it is best for you to play with people you already know on your friend's list if this is such an issue for you. Having headsets as a way of communication helps the problem. During VoG yesterday. We had one teammate in Portugal that had terrible connection so he would leave and come back and so forth. We had a guy that had to take care of his sick mother so he had to leave in the middle. I had to leave because I had to be up at 4 AM to get to work the next day. All this happened in that 1 match. We were all understanding about each other's situations. As I'm reading all these other comments, it seems that the majority has the same reasons. Real life takes priority.

Go sit in a corner because you're obviously butthurt
-
Get over it bud. People have other shit to do than just play Destiny. Get a life.
-
I wouldn't do it. There's nothing in the ToS right now about cutting out in the middle of a Strike or Crucible match. You're actually running the risk of getting yourself a ban due to abusing the reporting feature. Is it annoying as hell when someone cuts out like that? Yes. Is it currently against any rules of the game? I've read the ToS from top to bottom and can't see anything against it. Annoying and frustrating? Yes it is. Reportable offense? Not right now it isn't.

So..reporting people that leave is kind of stupid and i'll tell you why. from what i've read, especially in that age thread that was floating around, a lot of people seem to age from mid to late twenties all the way up to mid-fifties, what does this mean? it means people are adults with responsibilities, i don't know about you but if i'm in the middle of something in a game and my wife says she needs me for something or my family say they need me for something then they get priority.. I've played MMO's for many years and one saying has always stuck through all of them with all of the people i have played with "Real Life ALWAYS comes first"

Edited by tw33: 9/29/2014 9:27:50 AMForget this thread it's just a piss take, I wouldn't waste your brain cells trying to explain life's problems to a child they clearly don't understand the way the world works. Any normal person would have forgotten about the person who got dc'ed with in a matter of seconds, clearly this joker moans the game being unenjoyable because someone leaves but then takes more time out of the game to report them instead of maybe inviting them back to the game. Have you ever wondered it could be your connection that doesn't agree with other peoples?

I'm sure I would be as upset about this as you if it didn't take 8 seconds to leave the strike lobby at the end of one before a new one auto starts or they make it so you don't get the same one twice in a row. because those are reasons I leave.
