So here is the problem. I recently received the "SUROS REGIME" Exotic weapon and stared loving it. So, whats the problem then? Everything changed when the bungie dev team attacked.. the FIRST upgrade for this gun ruined my fun. I don't even want this gun anymore. It starts out at a good rate of fire and great damage and yet it's upgrade changes it so that when you ADS you gain a slight damage buff at the expense of pretty much your ENTIRE ROF (rate of fire). I can seriously use a scout weapon faster. Thats not what I want from a auto rifle bungie, not in the slightest. I would be so bold as to day that you lose DPS on this gun because of it. it's a hindrance for those of us that can handle it's already manageable recoil at a distance. What I am suggesting is this: Across the whole base of the game, implement an easy system of simply "canceling" the perk. This would allow players to select or bypass what they would like in their gun without opening a can of worms with exploits or different builds. It would simply let you progress past a perk in the tree without altering your guns performance. Bungie already lets us choose between slight differences in recoil on guns, why not let us skip a step? I would love this gun so much more if I could :(. TLDR: We need a way to skip certain undesirable effects of leveling guns in order to make them to our liking and still level them up.
