I feel that each strike should have specific loot or a guarantee for a certain level engram.
For instance, if you do a level 26 strike you are guaranteed a legendary engram each time. Bungie wants equipment to have a story behind it, but, "I went and started grinding strikes until I could buy it." Isn't really an epic story.
EDIT: Check out the patch notes. Looks like Bungie agrees. Strikes will drop give engrams as well as their current rewards. (Now they won't be decrypted into lower tiered items either. Blues will be blue and have an increased chance of being legendary, and purples will always be at least legendary)

I feel the game needs a better use for glimmer and boss should drop something for the time, even if it's just upgrade items

Sorry for a hunter specific anecdote but I think the could have gone farther with the armor types from strike/pvp atm it seems that there are strike and pvp specific armors like mantis mangala but they should be narrowed do to specific strikes or pvp gametypes. So I guess I'm agreeing with you but a legendary guarantee should be reserved for the vault or end game strikes that can't become farm status

I agree that would be great, it would give you a reason to play and finish them and give you a sense of accomplishment. But there would have to be a cap of how often you get the designated rewards of people could just farm and farm.
