Assault Rifles.
This is true in multiplayer and it needs fixed. Regardless of the stats your weapon may have, you are practically using a limitless weapon. A Scout Rifle with a single shot should have a stronger impact(the stats say it is but I don't buy it). A Pulse Rifle should have a stronger impact as well. Both weapons have a much slower rate of fire when compared to a full auto weapon. By trade-off of that, we should get a stronger weapon to shoot, but this isn't the case. All three weapons have just about the same stopping power with one exception. The AR. It is fully automatic with little recoil and the range of a sniper. Anyone who has played has had to have noticed this.
It raises the question of, "Why bother with single shot or burst rounds, when a full auto stays just as accurate and deadly but ultimately at a higher rate?"
Everytime I have tried with single or burst I ultimately have to switch to auto because I am always getting dropped by an auto rifle. This isn't my play style and I don't like being forced to adapt to playing this way. I've always enjoyed single shot rounds and burst fire as long as I have played multiplayer simply because I like repeated trigger pulls not just holding it down.
I know this isn't Halo but Bungie knew how to balance range with every weapon to call for use in different scenarios.

I use Autos. I'd rather use Scout Rifles, but they are terrible in general. So naturally instead of making the other weapons better, they are going to make Autos worse. Bleh.
