Whats the point of factions?
As the title says. I am thinking about joining one and then it hit me.
Why should I?
I am in no need for the gear they offer as I already have pretty descent gear.
So my thing is, why should I join one?
Is there something else Im not aware of ?
The only good thing I can take away from being in one, is that everything rep wise counts to one thing, which in turn would probably level up a little faster than vangaurd and crucible seperately.
But I mean is there any other reason that you guys know of that Im unaware of?

I know you get "Legendary Packages" as soon as you hit level 3 and every level after that for Vanguard and Crucible. It's easier to level up Factions because once you have their gear equipped all reputation (Vanguard or Crucible) goes to your faction ranking and it seems like a faster route to those legendary packages (if in fact you do get them for Factions). I'm enjoying my Vanguard legendary packages so I'll stick to leveling that up.

1 ReplyMaybe at some point they will offer something you need. Would suck to have to start from scratch down the road when you could've easily already had a faction leveled. Just a thought. I'm sure more is to come with the game, after all it is only a few weeks old.
