There are many of us who are having these same issues (although its possible I fixed mine, if my roommates would let me use the xbox.) The only thing we can do is just sit by and bide our time, hoping that they either reverse the patch and throw the college kids to the wolves for a little while, or release a new patch fixing the issues with the old one. I know it feels like we've been forgotten about, pushed to the side to just be ignored, what with the lack of communication from bungie. I personally want to chalk that up to a PR team not knowing exactly what is going on, and having canned responses to give to the general populous. Stay strong my friend, we will be able to play.
