"Level advantages disabled"
Actually we only meant level and defense related damage modifiers but we're not going to tell you that because apparently not normalising the bar stats and gear perks is the way to go even though legendaries and exotics tend to have ridiculous groupings of those. Auto-shotguns, exotic fusion rifle with max impact but min charge time, exotic auto rifles with humongous groupings of rate of fire, impact, stability, range are all totally balanced. They 100% don't need normalisation oh no.
I don't even want to get into the BS of semantics that is having the impact stat being the base bullet damage (why? It sounds like a stat to do with actual you know, IMPACT as in knockback effect - which before someone told me what it actually did was backed up by the fact that my high impact hand cannon had good knockback/flinch so I assumed that was what it did) while Attack only for level and possibly defense differentials (I've never been sure how it works because it's not explained anywhere I could find...).

"Level Advantages disabled" only refers to Attack & Defense plus the weapon multipliers. When its disabled as well all weapons do the same base damage, atleast if I remember correctly. I don't have the Strategy Guide in front of me unfortunately, but Impact may be only difference. And mods on weapons are still enabled, meaning your weapon can have more control or less spread than another's. I think a lot of peoples problems are they think this is Halo. It may be from Bungie and feel like Halo, but its not. Were not going to see a equal playing field when it comes to weapons, or gear. If you have amazing gear, you will have a slight advantage. Bottom line. It matters what you bring into battle.

2 RepliesWell, Suros Regime purposely Fires slower, but it deals a healthy amount of damage added to the base damage when aiming down sights. Honestly, I am happy exotics are like this. I worked for mine, I deserve what I put in to it.

3 RepliesThe real imbalance occurs when you have mister level 2 in the same match as Mr level 28. Level 2 can't even super meanwhile the 28 is running around shoulder tackling everything

Skill CAN overpower gear yes, but if two people of equal skill fight it out using the same gun but one is a well statted exotic and the other is a poorly statted common, guess who is gonna win EVERY SINGLE TIME. I'll give you a hint, it's not the person using the common. The level issues come in to play when it claims "level advantages disabled" yet there is no such thing as a sub-20 legendary or exotic.

6 RepliesEh idk man when i started my hunter i did only the first earth mission and went into crucible and just wrecked people with my auto rifle, which i may note wasn't rare or green. I think it varies between person to person. At any level i still usually end up the highest on the scoreboard and its not like i always play, im on Fridays and Saturdays.

The damage caused by a projectile is directly related to the amount of its kinetic energy which is governed by it's velocity, mass and trajectory. This kinectic energy is transferred when a round 'impacts' a body. This is also the reason gunshots with exit wounds cause less damage, as the round passes straight through the body not all of the kinetic energy is transferred into the tissue.

I'm lvl 14 now and started pvp when I was lvl 11. I don't feel like level makes much difference to me. I have good games and bad although I did get loot on one of my bad games (bottom of the group) that I found funny as I had been reading about the fact that its totally random who gets what which in my opinion is very fair. We all try just as hard.
