To the Cynicists

Remember September 8th? Remember the stories we made, the hype we shared, the overall bright outlook on the game? What happened? Why suddenly, when you get what you've been waiting for, do you make a complete 180? Is this not what you -no, WE -waited for? Did you expect WoW with guns? Borderlands with a serious story? Honestly, if you are disappointed by what you KNEW the game would be, *cough*levelcap*cough*, why did you even buy the game? Please, enlighten me.

  • It's all because of the ridiculous hype that the game got. It isn't nearly what people, including me, expected from the way the advertised it. However, the game is still good imo. I'm enjoying it quite a bit, especially the Crucible despite its horrible loot system and plague of shotguns. The game just needs to improve on quite a few things, but it definitely has a great foundation to start with. I can see it evolving into an amazing game over time if they implement certain features and do well with expanding upon the content. I see it like DIablo 3's release where it was pretty bad but has become a pretty damn good game with the Reaper of Souls expansion that fixed everything. The big difference is that Destiny is already good to begin with. Good but not amazing.
