Where's your farming spot?
Just thought I would make a place for people to share their favorite farming spots, what they got there, and how long it took them. Personally, I've farmed nexus for maybe five hours but haven't gotten shit yet, anyone have better luck?

19 RepliesBasically the best legendary/ rare farming spot is in the first mission on the moon. Put it in the hardest difficulty, grab a hand cannon or high damage primary and get to the front door with 3 large runic locks blocking it. After you check on the dead guardian, you need to step back a bit and let all the level 20+ thralls charge you. Once they do and you've killed everything except for the ultra knight, you need to die to the knight. You'll respawn right where the gates open and will probably get about 1-2 legendaries every 10ish minutes. Important notes: I recommend using the painted big chief mk 45 hand cannon from the crucible. Do it with a full fire team because it just means a better chance for everyone with no downside. DO NOT KILL THE KNIGHT AT THE GATE. His shots are easy to dodge just do not kill him as he is your best insurance policy.

Ice breaker and cryptic dragon, has firefly, one shot the knights with sniper real easy and when the acolytes come out of a cave you can see, two bullets from my cryptic dragon or fatebringer can take out all 5. The knights instantly spawn after the acolytes are down. It's clockwork. Got a gigahorn for backup.

2 RepliesI like the "spin metal run". It's a circular path you take on earth with around 4-5 chests per lap. I can get almost 10 VG point in around an hour and a half. Way faster than strikes, along with a chance for legendaries and blues. Also the chests give glimmer. Also there is a soloable even that spawns on the path. You won't have a high a chance at items but it's efficient since you are getting resources for separate things all at once.

1 ReplyI have got lots of blues and a couple purples in Vanguard Tiger strike. plus 25 Vanguard rep. each time. Some of the darkened caverns/basements ie: ( Hallowed Knights> earth) are good for green/blues.

The hive cave on earth got 3 legendary hers of people getting exotic gear also

1 ReplyI farm in crucible on all the kids who think they are good, especially in skirmish. Haven't lost a single match and most every game my team gets loot even tho the other team that loses will probably still get an exotic while I'm sitting there with all these blues to dismantle..

Try the strike mission on Venus, there's 30 vex each time you spawn and you just jump off when you kill them and it goes back to right before you see them

Hey I personally like the start to devils lair. Run round kill mobs and get chests and sometimes an event appears
