Faction Gear for non-PVP players
I [i]really[/i] hate playing the crucible. I love co-op and PvE. I gave crucible a few tries but being better at someone just to shoot them down is not my type of fun, nor is it fun being worst than someone and keep getting shot down. I avoid crucible play but the the faction gears require crucible marks to obtain.
I am able to obtain faction reputation by doing crucible matches OR vanguard missions so I think it would make sense to be [b]able to purchase faction gear with crucible OR vanguard marks[/b].
It is unfair vanguard marks allow you to only purchase vanguard gear when crucible marks allow you to purchase crucible gear AND faction gear.

I agree that everything in this game does seem to lean more into the favour of the PVP players. It would be nice to be able to use my Vangaurd marks for faction gear. As for the crucible marks, you can get them for handing in materials to the crucible outfitter guy. You only get 5 for every 50 mats, which is a ball ache I know, but the option is there.

A StrikeTeam who can communicate via chat playing against a group of randoms can't "really" be considered earning it in my opinion. Until someone proves me wrong I'm going under the impression that when entering a crucible match there is no way of telling if the opposition can and are communicating. If both teams are communicating then it's a fair fight, if not then the team with chat is at an advantage and can't honestly say the earned it. Let's be honest can you actually say that without knowing? If I'm right about this then there is a fundamental flaw in the PVP system, as it stands now a last man standing would be the only way of knowing you earned it. And no I don't want faction gear, it doesn't bother me at all where I get my gear.

4 RepliesNope you need to earn it like everyone else. Besides if people see your gear that wasnt earned in crucible it will be looked down on. Man up and play crucible. Look at my stats for inspiration soldier. Lol

All that being said, you can absolutely get Vanguard gear. Better in the end...

1 ReplyCompletely agree. I absolutely love this game, except for its PVP, which is complete dogshit. So I find it completely screwy that faction vendors only take crucible marks. Why force is to play something we don't want to play?

One of the things that bugs me is that the in game currency can literally become anything, they call it programmable matter and explain that. So why do these factions that need all these rare materials from fetch quests not selling stuff for high amounts of glimmer? It is one of the many painful loop holes of their own story.

I dont like it too. I managed to earn few crucible rare weps, thats it. I dont like forced game mods, I want to earn gear from strikes too.
