To be fair, half of Bungie stayed with Microsoft and 343 Studio to continue making Halo games. The other half is now working with Activision, who makes Call of Duty.. so I'm pretty sure it speaks for itself. I mean when you saw the "Activision" logo in the ads, you didn't see any red flags?
The game is okay, it's not typical Bungie quality for story content, but it's a difficult story to convey anyway, since the character is essentially an extension of yourself. The idea is that every Guardian is unique to the person who plays them. The Legend you are building is your own. So own it, become legend in your own way, work with friends and others and grow it.
My Legend as a Hunter already includes pulling out of the fire the asses of several people including some friends, and simultaneously using the Arc-Blade to slice and dice my way through over a dozen dregs and vandals, and even a captain just to revive them during a Nightfall mission.
