personally i did a couple things... strike missions... only did the level 18 and good some light gear... crucibles... i play this the most... but just because people rarely stick it out in story mode ahah.. but bounties help and patrol missions!! Also decrypting alot of items help.... when you level up you get a message from the postal dude..... they all give light armor randomly though... just keep grinding!! too bad there isn't a trade system.,

I got mine from Blue Engrams. Strikes would help, or patrol areas where there are fast spawning mobs, doesn't matter on the mobs level the Engram will scale with your level. If you check my Hunter all the blues apart from the Scout Rifle were from Engrams from Strikes and Random drops on Venus at Ishtar Common, the gear isn't fantastic but it was better then I had before, and I started to gather light. I heard the Ishtar Common mobs don't drop as many Engrams now, so I am thinking the daily Strike/Story and whatever playlist strike you think you can handle. I did two of the lowest ones this morning and in each I gained at least 1 Blue Engram. The Crucible seems to offer good rewards as well, but tbh I haven't done much PvP to advise how good to rewards are from that.
