Engram's, why you no give me legendary?
Just curious to how many people have gotten ridiculously unlucky when it comes to the Legendey Engrams. I have gotten roughly 7 already, and every single one has been either a terrible rare item I don't need or a mote of light. I'd think since they're Legendary Engrams the chance of getting an actual legendary would be a bit higher..
Anyone else have this streak of bad luck?

I've gotten dozens of Legendary Engrams. Most of which always turned into rare gear or straneg coins/motes of light or ascendant shards/energy. Pre Patch 1.0.2 only 3 of my legendary engrams gave me legendary gear. Some boots, a rocket launcher, and a shotgun. Now that the effects of the patch have taken effect. I've gotten 5 legendary engrams. Not counting the 3 I got from raising my Cryptarch rank.

First legendary special weapon i got was Universal Remote. Lol face roll in crucible since week 2. Sheer luck.

I have gotten 19 of the bloody things and all have turned into ascendant materials used for legendary weapons that you get from the engrams

I haven't even seen a legendary engram. Let alone get one.

2 RepliesYou aren't the only one. I'm level 27 and have only got legendary out of drops like three times two of which were armor for another class. Everything else I had to buy myself. But all my friends have three or more legendary and exotic weapons. Wtf! Talk about frustrating! It totally takes the fun out of trying to find cool stuff when you get jewed constantly, time after time! Definitely makes me wonder if and when I will ever get something good. Or will I just have to buy all my gear and watch my friends get legendary weapons and exotics around me til I break something.

Getting Legendary Engram and it not being a legendary item really frustrating. There a lot of things in this game that doesn't make sense and needs to be changed. I watched the Angry Joe review. If you put aside the humor and the rants, he hits a bunch of key issues. I feel that Bungie needs to listen to the players, tell any partner that is holds these issues from being addressed to go away and give the games a game that was promissed and shown. #NoMoreRNG #LessGrinding #MoreStoryPlease

Ive had one legendary engram drop.. I was fortune enough to get a legendary chest piece for a warlock!! Happy days... or not, im a titan. Damn you!!!!

I have gotten only 2 Legendary items from a Legendary Engram... one of them being a Titan helmet even though I'm a Warlock.

Legendary machine gun and rocket launcher. Legendary titan and hunter armor. I play warlock and i have returned more engrams than i care to count. My friend returned his first 4 engrams and got 3 legendarys, one weapon - two armor pieces for his class. Luck of the draw i guess. If I have to say one thing i really dislike about destiny, its that it always seems like you're being punished for putting in any effort. I sprinted to lvl 20 and ive been marathoning the fun out of the game, for the purpose of being ready when the Raid opened. And i was, so that was a success. But so where my friends, and they had almost just dinged. They got the same boost in a day or two that i farmed in strikeplaylists, all bounties, pvp, public events in over a week of pretty much nonstop gaming. Now my gear is good and i shouldn't be complaining as I'm already where i should be. After all i should just be thankful that i didnt have to wait for my friends to gear up the way i did. But im not. Because it doesnt end here. Same thing happens pvp, top 3 gets nothing, bottom 3 gets 2 engrams each. Do you have 114 kills and 31 assists in a stike and your buddies have 40 kills and 10 assists? Expect to see legendary engrams and strange coins land in their pockets and nothing in yours.

2 RepliesI'm level 24 (grimoire score of 1410) now and I haven't seen a single legendary engram drop, about 10 blues and a fkn sea of green lvl 18s, this is even on 22 and 24 strikes. Played 10 crucible matches and got one Galahad also.

I've only gotten 2 legends from maybe 15 to 20 legendary engrams. I wish that cryptarch level would alter the probability a little. I've gotten a warlock bond and a chest from them.

I've gotten four of them and 2 were legendary pulse rifles and one was an exotic primary shotgun called universal remote

2 RepliesCryptarch rank 12 here, and I haven't noticed the chances going up of him making it legendary, I've literally had 20+ purple engrams after some farming and some incredible luck, plus probably around 10 more that I've received upon ranking him or a faction up. Only ONE has become a purple; which was a purple fusion rifle called Light/Beware or something :/ (I like the fusion rifle for PvE but that drop rate makes me frowney face)
