thoughts on destiny

Good day wolves and...lady wolves(?)... I want to hear you guys thoughts on destiny, unfettered, unscripted realness, what do you like, what don't you like, and what do you expect for the future

  • As far as campaigns go this game ranks in my top three. Every mission was engaging to me and the story that's been included so far was thoughtful and easy to follow. It is also one of the few games where I felt that the AI was actually fighting back. Enemies shot at you, tried to avoid grenades, melee'd you if you got too close, and shared attention equally to all squad members, among all of the other things they did to try to kill you. It's a huge breath of fresh air for me & I have no regrets for this purchase(that doesn't happen often, I'm cheap). The attention to detail when balancing your arsenal is great too. While our choice of weapons is small right now I feel that all of the weapons have a purpose and that, that purpose is easy to notice & understand. If I nitpicked at all the tiny underlining things that I love about Destiny this comment would be too long, so I'll just wrap up with what I didn't like about the game. The only thing that's really annoyed me so far is the boss battles. They are engaging considering the skill required to damage them and manage the reinforcements that they spawn but aside from that the bosses don't add much to engagement. I'd feel better about this if some of the bosses did more but that's me. Other than that I don't really have any major complaints. Speaking from a technical perspective the game is extremely well polished.
