Why are Salvage and Combined Arms restricted to weekend events? They were discussed as Crucible gametypes long before launch, and were even featured in the Competitive Multiplayer reveal trailer. So why can't we play them all of the time? Cutting gamemodes out to restrict them to weekend events doesn't make any sense at all for the health of the game. Sure, lots of people will play that weekend, but come Monday morning there will be a group of people that won't log in until the next weekend event for the gamemode they like. I've seen it happen to plenty of games before, and eventually you end up with a large percentage of "content rushers" that wait for updates, tear through the new content, and then stop playing that game until the next update. Salvage especially seems like a poor choice because one of Destiny's trophies requires you to play it to unlock. If people miss this weekend, then when can they play Salvage to get that trophy? I hope that you guys reconsider your position regarding these weekend Crucible events and just put Salvage and Combined Arms in to the game as permanent gametypes.

Probably so it doesn't dilute the MP pool and to probably create increased drop rates and rewards during those events.
