How are you farming gear?
Hello,
Just a quick one, can people post where/how they are farming gear at level 20?
I want to get a collection of tips together for myself and others out there!

2 RepliesEdited by BradleyFPS: 9/17/2014 8:17:15 PMI farmed at the cave near the crashed hive seeder near where you have to activate the last array ,once, but it felt cheap so I erased my character.Btw I got 7 legendary engrams 20 blues and around 60 greens in an hour and a half, try it if you want but it leaves a horrible feeling in you after.

I just finished getting Vanguard rank 2 and so far have 1 peice of that legendary set and very close to 2nd peice. Your credits do roll-over each week ( mine did at least) so pick one of the factions to work on ( I think the armor looks change but stats are basically the same) As for weapon I got my Doctor Nope legendary from a lost item in mail. So not sure what I did to get it lol

My approach has been simply play what I love playing. And I have legendary chest, boots, gloves, and fusion rifle. I'll have enough crucible marks for a helmet soon. Bought the chest, others from engrams. One engram was a crucible reward after a 43 kill match. Others were dropped in strikes.

I have a good farming spot that averages 50+ greens blues and I've seen a couple purples. I've been doing it alone but two people is suppose to be better. Add me gt same as name I'll be on around 630pst

2 RepliesEdited by Kexlar: 9/16/2014 8:54:31 PMI have tried all the ones mentioned here and on Youtube, I have been farming for 4 days for a legendary engram to drop, I have had several blues and a ton of greens, and then I got lucky and got 2 legendary engrams drop. I then went to the Cryptarch for him to give me 1 coin and a blue lvl 18, and I have blue lvl 20 gear on :S I know we should not expect to get great gear within a week of game release, but when you see players in full Legendary and the 1 exotic it kinda makes farming a bit tiresome. I am now stuck on lvl 23 with no legendary gear in sight, I am building my rep up with the vanguard to get some gear not far off lvl 2 now. Time to lvl another char I think.

3 RepliesVenus, theres a spot where fallen and vex constantly spawn and fight each other (the area with the crashed plane in the middle) and I average 6 engrams an hour mostly blues not including greens of course and sometimes purple

1 ReplyThe best ways so far are to farm areas with fast respawn points or to grind out a faction to a rank 2. Im working to get dead orbit up. Factions also sell class items that give you rank points for said faction check it out.

-running around certain areas with chests and lots of mobs (not necessarily Venus btw) -strikes -gaining reputation with the different factions (vanguard, crucible, crytarch, etc.)

4 RepliesThe best way is to do the Strike Mission Playlist on the highest difficulty you can (also that you can beat) from what I've seen Exotics are found most at lvl 26 and 28 difficulty. And it scales down from there. Also if you play a lot of the Crucible (and I mean a lot because you need hundreds of marks and sometimes 2 ranks in it) you can buy Crucible and Faction gear.
