Xbox One Broken? Destiny faulty? HELP!
While playing "The Dark Within" on Earth, the game itself freezes while the Xbox background UI stays functional as normal.
This has happened 5 times so far, each time as I approach the tower thing (skywatch I think it's called?). I think it may happen any time the game tries to load a new area. The frist proper mission (the one after you get the ship) is the only one it has let me complete.
I have the physical copy of the game.
Any help would be awesome, it's getting pretty frustrating.

Over the weekend; I did a couple factory resets which didn't fix the issue. Took the console around to my mates place to rule out internet as a potential issue. He has 100/40mbps fibre and it still suffered the freezing issue. Took the game back to EB Games and they kindly swapped the disc for a new one. Another factory reset and a fresh install of Destiny (still on fibre) and it was still doing it. Spoke to EB Games customer support and the only other thing they could recomend was loading my profile onto a mates console and see if it worked. Great success, it worked. EB Games and I were confident the issue was the console. Since I bought it through them they kindly swapped it for a new one. I've been playing Destiny problem free since then. tl;dr Probelm was the console

1 ReplyI have tried installing and playing with a mates disc (he does not have any issues with his game) and it's the same crap, freezing whenever approaching Skywatch or Forgotten Shore. I made a new character and during the opening movie there were dotted blue and white lines running across the entire screen. No idea what caused it but that movie is the only one that had that issue. New character suffered the same fate as the other one, freezing headed to Skywatch or Forgotten Shore. I'm stumped. Is my console broken?

1 ReplyUninstalled and re installed with a hard reset between each and it still freezes approaching Skywatch or Forgotten Shore. WTF!!!

6 RepliesDefinitely appears to be a loading issue. If I take a sparrow and go as fast as I can from the spawning area in Old Russia I can't even make it into Mothyards without it freezing. If I walk and take my time I've only had it freeze once before reaching Mothyards. Every other time it will freeze approaching Skywatch or Forgotten Shore no matter how slow or fast I head there. Audio usually lingers for about 1 minute after motion stops, audio will then usually vanish entirely. I've left the game sitting for a good 15 mins to make sure it wasn't just really slow loading, pointless.
