Next-gen upgrading via (web) XBL Marketplace & PS Store
We're all aware of the transitioning from last-gen to next-gen (or new-gen, depending on your wording) deal Bungie has set forth. I don't plan on buying an XBOX One until late next year but I still want to take advantage of the limited time offer. Will I be able to qualify for the LTO next-gen upgrade if I:
Step 1. Purchase the XBOX 360 version of Destiny from my XBOX 360 console.
Step 2. Log into XBOX.com from a web browser, browse the XBOX One Games Marketplace for Destiny.
Step 3. Purchase the XBOX One version of Destiny from my web browser for $0.00?
For my PlayStation counterparts, will this work for them as well?

1 ReplyI think the way it works is that you buy it digitally for the 360 and then it becomes free on the One. If not that, then it would be something through your download history, but I'm betting on the first.
