Lone Wolf

I've always been kind of a casual gamer. I enjoyed playing Halo both online and offline. The campaign experience was awesome. I really became attached to the solo aspect of it as well. When I played the beta for Destiny, I knew I was getting the game in September instantly. But as I played through the story, I realized I wasn't alone. There were others playing with me. After some research, I found it will be this way when the game drops on the 9th as well. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I like doing things by myself without having to worry about others getting too far ahead, taking all the kills/exp/loot, etc., and overall ruining the experience. I dot have many friends on Xbox Live to play with either, and I'm not really the clan type. I'm just not looking forward to playing with random trollers and under/over experienced players who will ruin my love for Destiny. Almost makes me want to cancel my preorder, even so close to the launch...

  • Destiny is an open shared world environment. Been that way since first annouced. Except for story mode and changing setting for strike mode so no one can join, you will always be running into other players in Destiny. And they'll likely be jumping in and helping with kills then maybe moving on or maybe inviting you to join them. Main idea of the game. There is a daily story mode after the main story finishes around level 20 as well as daily Nightfall mission but you will run into other players getting to where the game modes kick in.
