quoted from deej himself. is he threatening my life or something?
if not, can we please dispense with all the dopey pr stuff? it's great they have ambition, but there's no way this game will deliver on half this nonsense. it's becoming less of a tangible and more of a "feeling" passing into the ether. the only way this game has any chance to live up to this kind of hype is if it turns into jesus christ himself.

Well, you better prepare for the second cumming.
lol cumming
If it turns into Jesus Christ I'm returning it

Its true. Most people won't buy dlc to continue a game
-
The world will probably end before anyone can finish the game.

I thank you for knowing what ether is sir

Edited by RandizleAssassin: 8/28/2014 10:11:54 PMMaybe its a good thing, not hype but a foreshadowing into the fact that they plan on continuously adding new content... It is a weird saying, but hopefully they can keep up with the player base. If I can spend 30-50 Dollars a year to expand an awesome game, with A LOT of new content, then that is fine with me. Not like COD, Battlefield, or other games that come out every year with "New" games...

lol Bungie over exaggerating shit again.
-
Why do people on here always pick on Christians?
-
I'd be looking over your shoulder if I was you

Edited by JOSH55886: 8/28/2014 10:43:59 PMWhat a load of BS. No doubt you can sink a lot of time into the game. But unless Bungie continually updates the game. Then yes, we will finish it. I know they've said they will. But from what I understand, all that means is they will. Change up story missions, add time limits, buff the difficulty, etc... I don't really consider that new content myself.
-
I never finished Mass Effects Trilogy and I love that game more than any other....actually most games I love to death I have never finished.

This comment of DeeJ's was a little overboard. What he should have said was that Destiny has multiplayer which could provide endless hours of entertainment to players. His claim - that Destiny never ends because it has online multiplayer - is about as meaningless as bragging that your game is bigger than Halo. Please don't confuse the previous in any way as slandering Destiny. The game might very well be the only one I play for the next year. But they're making some pretty silly PR gaffs after a really well-managed campaign.
-
This is why we have to take everything with a pinch of salt and try not to take things too literally. No one can say what the game is going to be right now and we wont know for some time until it starts to be shaped by the players. Bungie can say what they like about the vision they have for the game but that doesn't mean it'll turn out that way. Best laid plans of mice and men etc.

If you look at it as a loot based game........ He is at least partially, correct. Look at Diablo. People still play Diablo 2. And Diablo 3 is getting better all the time. If the gear in Destiny is the carrot, and the itemization is good enough, you will be playing for a long, long time to get best in slot items. Then you take those items into Iron banner. Bungie then updates items, rinse and repeat. If you just want to play through the campaign and get the story bits then obviously it will end at some point. But, depending on your personal goals - you may never be able to "complete' Destiny.

Actually destiny has a 90% chance of living to its hype

You're putting a lot of credence in jesus christ. .. a malnourished pacifist getting incredibly impressionable and uneducated people to follow him.... I'm not impressed. .. a bum will follow food and this asshole offered bread and fish. ... cool story bro....
sorry, I couldn't keep a straight face during this.. lol
Think about it, we dont know how many levels there will be for the vangaurd, the crucible, the iron banner, all the different guild or whatever you call them (new monarchy for example). Then you got three different character to do this with plus they each have a level thirty to get too, plus your subclasses to level up and each time you find a new armor and weapon you have to level up. Plus they are most likely gonna update these things and make the caps higher. I dont think people are realizing how much there is to do. There too focused on this number 30.

maybe he means you may leave the game before the 10 years is up?
-
You'll never finish it through the magic and wonder of DLC
-
I agree 100%. This game is gunna be fun but the only game I haven't ever "finished" is warframe. But that gets an update and more DLC every other month. There's no way destiny will be like that.

Bs give me a week

It's the same thing as with World of Warcraft. As long as expansions roll out, no one will ever finish it. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp.
